Indonesia bans iPhone 16 and other new Apple products due to unfulfilled investment commitments
The Indonesian government has banned the sale and use of iPhone 16 models and other new Apple products due to Apple's failure to meet investment commitments in the country.
Apple fell short of its $109 million investment pledge, with a $14 million shortfall preventing the issuance of necessary certifications.
The ban aims to enforce a 40% local content requirement for foreign companies operating in Indonesia, including the establishment of research and development facilities. #iPhone16 #Apple
