— Iran’s FM said a potential ceasefire violation was prevented by an immediate diplomatic response and a firm military warning.
— According to Fars News Agency, the case involved a US destroyer moving from Fujairah toward the Strait, which was quickly met by Iran’s armed forces.
— Tehran monitored the ship and relayed the situation to its delegation in Pakistan, which informed the US via a Pakistani mediator. A warning was issued: approach the Strait and it would be targeted.
— Iran also conveyed that if the ship continued, it would be hit within 30 minutes and talks would be affected.
— The combined military and diplomatic response led to orders for the ship to halt.
