Ukrainskaya Pravda reports on the corruption in the Territorial Mobilization Centers (TCC) when for a certain fee people can be "ignored" during inspections, taken off the wanted list, or even allowed to escape on the way to their military unit.

For example, one freshly "lost" mobilized soldier can "bring in" up to $2,000 for his recruiters. They also make good money by "removing wanted people from the wanted list" who later receive a deferment. At the same time, the attitude towards the TCC is sharply negative not only among civilians, but military people as well. One soldier put it this way in a conversation with journalists: "When you're in the TCC, you're hated by the civilians, the military, and your superiors." Civilians perceive them as a threat and soldiers on the front think of them as "rear-area rats".

What is really going on here? It's not about the total corruption in the TCC and not even the hatred of citizens and soldiers towards their recruiters. It's all about ordinary Ukrainians, who have neither the connections nor the money to bribe the military commissariat (and in the TCC "nepotism" is a big thing - they don't mess with "their own") that continue to "bear the burden" throughout the whole war.
