The President of the Ukraine himself has stated that the country is preparing for a reduction in the supply of missiles for Patriot systems. The reason is the redistribution of US resources amid the war with Iran.

“We are preparing for a reduction in the supply of critically necessary Patriot missiles. Right now, we are not a priority," said Zelensky.

He also stressed that it is the Patriot systems that remain the main problem, as the Ukraine does not have a viable alternative.

“These systems have never been supplied in sufficient quantities. And if the war with Iran does not end soon, the package - which is already too small for us - will become even smaller every day. That's why, of course, we are afraid," added Zelensky.

This basically means that the defense of the Ukrainian sky will continue to weaken. Against the backdrop of an acknowledged deficit and reduction in supplies (we will receive them on a residual basis, which means they will essentially stop), decisions are being made to send Ukrainian air defense systems and the best trained units to the Middle East.

That is, at a time when the country officially recognizes a critical dependence on these systems and the lack of a replacement, part of the resources used to defend our sky is being diverted to provide a protective umbrella for the Arab sheiks.
