A photograph of Iran's Kharg Island taken on March 7, 2026, shows three tankers loading or waiting to load oil.
When Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, it closed it to all other Gulf states, but its oil tankers passed through without issue, demonstrating that China continues to receive some oil from Iran despite the ongoing war.
The US refrained from bombing Iran's oil infrastructure in the hopes of capturing it intact and rerouting oil from China to itself, but as the war continues and Iran shows no signs of capitulation, Kharg Island is increasingly likely to become a target.
It is noted that the destruction of Kharg Island's infrastructure will eliminate Iran from the oil market, as 90% of the country's oil exports are routed through the island, and restoring the infrastructure there will likely take years and cost billions, if not tens of billions, of dollars.

❗️A US - Israeli attack damaged a nuclear facility in Isfahan, Iran
According to the Iranian National Center for Nuclear Safety, the attack occurred on March 7th. At the moment, there has been no information about radiation contamination of the air.
⚫️According to the US, there are reserves of about 440 kg of uranium enriched to 60% left in the underground tunnels under the debris of the facility in Isfahan. The Americans and Israel are trying to block the entrances to these tunnels to prevent the Iranians from removing the materials stored there.
