Motorola just launched four budget phones - Moto G05, Moto G15., Moto G15 Power and Moto E15. Company didn't provide any info on how many major Android updates the new phones would get.

Thus, we contacted them and asked them about this.

Got a reply:

* Moto E15 - ships with Android 14 (Go), wont get any major Android updates (so, no Android 15). Gets two years of patches, tho.

* Moto G15 - ships with Android 15. Wont get any major Android updates. Gets bi-monthly patches for 2 years.

* Moto G15 Power - ships with Android 15. No major Andoid updates promised. Gets bi-monthly patches for 2 years.

* Moto G05 - ships with Android 15. Wont get any major Android updates. Gets patches for 2 years.

So... Not very good news if you want to buy a phone with long software support. But this seems to be the route many manufacturers are taking nowadays with their budget phones.
