Colored building blocks have been piling up at the Grand Egyptian Museum to build different kinds of wonders. Today, more than 400 students from 9 Egyptian governorates let their imaginations run wild for FIRST LEGO LEAGUEยฎ Discover Championship at the GEM. The four to six-year-old innovators created solution models with the theme of energy preservation, in hopes to qualify and represent Egypt in the first Lego League World Festival in the US.
This is in line with the GEMโs mission to celebrate creativity, inspire innovation, and promote sustainability, especially among youth.

The Prince Muhammad Ali Palace Museum in Manial, in cooperation with the General Department of Archaeological Ports at the Supreme Council of Antiquities, is holding a month-long exhibition titled "Archaeological Ports and Belongings of the Alawite Dynasty". The exhibition is celebrating the 119th anniversary of the palaceโs establishment.
The exhibition includes about 70 various artifacts which had been seized by the Central Administration of Ports and Archaeological Units in Egyptian ports, thwarting attempts to smuggle them abroad.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, a lecture will be organized on Prince Muhammad Ali and the museumโs palaces, in addition to a number of guided tours and educational workshops for people of determination as to introduce the museum and its holdings.
