Colored building blocks have been piling up at the Grand Egyptian Museum to build different kinds of wonders. Today, more than 400 students from 9 Egyptian governorates let their imaginations run wild for FIRST LEGO LEAGUEยฎ Discover Championship at the GEM. The four to six-year-old innovators created solution models with the theme of energy preservation, in hopes to qualify and represent Egypt in the first Lego League World Festival in the US.

This is in line with the GEMโ€™s mission to celebrate creativity, inspire innovation, and promote sustainability, especially among youth.

The Mummy mask of King Hor.The mask is made from wood and the Eyes and the Beard is made from precious rocks.The mask was gilded with gold but it was damaged.King Hor ruled Egypt in the 13th Dynasty, The Second Intermediate period.The mask is displayed at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt.
A Sphinx-ram statue of King Taharqa.The Statue dates back to the Nubian Dynasty 25th Dynasty,The third Intermediate period.
The Prince Muhammad Ali Palace Museum in Manial, in cooperation with the General Department of Archaeological Ports at the Supreme Council of Antiquities, is holding a month-long exhibition titled "Archaeological Ports and Belongings of the Alawite Dynasty". The exhibition is celebrating the 119th anniversary of the palaceโ€™s establishment.

The exhibition includes about 70 various artifacts which had been seized by the Central Administration of Ports and Archaeological Units in Egyptian ports, thwarting attempts to smuggle them abroad.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, a lecture will be organized on Prince Muhammad Ali and the museumโ€™s palaces, in addition to a number of guided tours and educational workshops for people of determination as to introduce the museum and its holdings.

A rare photo of the Statue of Ramses II in Ramses Square in Cairo,Egypt.This statue was discovered in the The great Temple of Ptah in Memphis.Then,it was transferred to Ramses square.The Statue was Transferred in 2006 from Ramses square to Safe place near the Grand Egyptian Museum then in 2018 it was Transferred inside the Grand Egyptian Museum.
