The Egyptian-British mission, joining the Supreme Council of Antiquities and the New Kingdom Research Foundation of University of Cambridge, succeeded in uncovering a previously unknown royal tomb, during excavation work in Valley No. C in the Western Valleys of Luxor.

Preliminary evidence, uncovered from inside the tomb, indicates that it may date to a Thutmoside reign (18th dynasty). The dating will be confirmed during the coming period which will see the archaeological documentation of the tomb.

Two teams from Ludwig Maximilian and Tübingen Universities in Germany and the National Research Center in Cairo identifed the nature of mummification materials in ancient Egypt.

This is thanks to analyzing organic remains found inside mummification workshop's utensils discovered in 2018 by the Egyptian-German mission headed by the late Dr. Ramadan Hussein in Saqqara.

The incredible discovery made it to the scientific journal at Nature.

The Egyptian-Spanish archaeological mission, with the Supreme Council of Antiquities and the unibarcelona operating at Oxyrhynchus in the al-Bahnasa region in Minya, uncovered ancient tombs in the upper cemetery.

The archaeological mission from the Central Department of Sunken Antiquities at the Supreme Council of Antiquities revealed the remains of a sunken ship and a number of jars (amphoras) dating back to the third century BCE, during diving and archaeological survey work at a sunken site about 650 meters from the beach of El-Alamein, Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea.
