The Triad of Menkaure is considered one of the most remarkable sculptural ensembles of Dynasty IV and the Memphite period. It is dated to the middle of the third millennium BC. It corresponds to the group formed by the pharaoh Menkaure, the goddess Hathor and the divinity of the nome of Cinopolis. It was discovered in 1910 by a team of archaeologists from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, who were excavating the funerary temple of the pharaoh's pyramid. On the left side of Menkaure is the goddess Hathor, with horns and the sun disk on her head, and on the right side of her that of the nome of Cinopolis, bearing her emblem.
