What is Web3?
Web3 is basically the next evolution of the internet, built around blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and decentralized communities.
In Web2, most platforms and opportunities are controlled by companies and centralized organizations.
In Web3, people can participate directly in ecosystems, own digital assets, contribute to projects, build communities, and even earn from their skills.
But Web3 is much bigger than just buying and selling crypto.
There are developers, designers, community managers, moderators, marketers, researchers, content creators, KOLs, traders, writers, and many other roles.
Our Area of Study: Web3 Jobs
For now, our main focus will be Web3 jobs.
And one of the biggest things I want you to understand is:
You can start with $0.
You don’t necessarily need money to enter Web3.
What you need first is skills, consistency, a good identity/brand, and the right connections.
What You Need To Get Started
You should have these three basic accounts:
1. X (Twitter) account
This is one of the biggest places for networking, discovering opportunities, building your reputation, and connecting with Web3 projects.
2. Telegram account
A lot of Web3 communities, projects, teams, and job opportunities operate through Telegram.
3. Crypto wallet
You’ll need a crypto wallet to interact with blockchain ecosystems and receive crypto payments when you start earning.
You Also Need an Identity
This is very important.
You need something that represents you in Web3, almost like a personal brand.
It could be a name, alias, username, or brand identity that people can recognize you by.
For example, instead of being just another random account, you want people to eventually see your name and think:
“Oh, I know this person. They do community management.”
Your identity becomes part of your reputation.
So from the beginning, think about:
• Your Web3 name/alias
• Your X username
• Your profile picture
• Your bio
• What skill you want to be known for
• How you present yourself online
Remember:
Your first goal isn’t to make money.
Your first goal is to build your identity, develop a skill, meet people, and become valuable.
Once you become valuable, opportunities start finding you.
