Aha Psychological Services, in collaboration with First Consult, has officially launched the Psychosocial Support Project in Tigray, marking our expansion to the 6th region. The project was inaugurated on December 19 with key officials, experts, and counseling professionals in attendance. We are proud to embark on this journey, providing psychosocial support for MSMEs in the region. An intense 5 days Mental Health and Psychosocial Support training was given to our recruited professionals until December 23, 2023. Aha Psychological Services Delivers Mental Health Training for South Sudanese Educators in Partnership with UNESCO/IICBA (October 7-11, 2024)
Aha Psychological Services conducted a five-day training program in Juba focusing on rolling out Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) TOT for 50 teachers from educational institutions across South Sudan.
The training aimed to equip these educators with the tools and techniques needed to effectively utilize the MHPSS guide. This will enable them to expand the training in their own schools and colleges while integrating MHPSS services within their institutions.
This initiative is a key milestone in promoting the mental health and psychosocial well-being of educators in South Sudan. Our team at Aha Psychological Services recently completed an important assignment for Save the Children in Wag Himera Zone, traveling through the tough landscapes of Abergele, Tsagbje, and Sekota to assess and map essential protection and reintegration services. This work included a close look at local parenting practices to better understand and support the unique needs of children and families in these remote areas.
