🌊 The Convention was adopted on 14th April 1961 by the United Nations Conference on Diplomatic Intercourse and Immunities held in Vienna, Austria. ✅
🌊 India has ratified the convention.✅
🌊It provides a complete framework for the establishment, maintenance, and termination of diplomatic relations on a basis of consent between independent sovereign States.
According to Article 22 of the Vienna Convention, diplomatic premises cannot be violated.✅

Bangladesh to Import Hydro-Electricity from Bhutan
✅ Bangladesh Prime Minister and her Bhutanese counterpart met in New Delhi during the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
✅ Bangladesh and Bhutan are keen to enhance their relations, especially in the energy sector.
✅ Bangladesh wants to import hydroelectricity from Bhutan through India and the matter has been discussed with India.
✅ This requires a tripartite agreement between the three countries. Both countries also expressed their interest in strengthening their ties in other areas as well.
