🌊Location:
Kali Tiger Reserve, earlier known as Dandeli-Anshi Tiger Reserve is located in the central portion of the Karnataka state.✅
🌊It comprises two important protected areas of the region, viz., Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary and Anshi National Park.✅
🌊River:
The Kali River, which flows through the tiger reserve, and hence the name.✅
🌊Vegetation:
Forests are primarily moist deciduous and semi-evergreen, with excellent patches of evergreen forests in the westernmost parts as well as in deep valleys.✅

⚡️ News 🗞️ - According to officials, more than 700 acres of farmland has been brought under lavender cultivation in the Jammu and Kashmir area since 2017, and another 100 acres is set to be added.
🌊It is a crop native to Europe but was introduced in the temperate regions of Jammu &Kashmir state by the CSIR Aroma Mission. ☘️
🌊It is a small, perennial aromatic herb shrub used in the fragrance, specialty food, and alternative medicine industries. ☘️
🌊 Propagation of lavender can be done by seeds, rooted cuttings, tissue culture, and layering. ☘️
🌊Required climatic conditions
⚡️Soil: It grows best in neutral to alkaline soil which is free draining.
This crop is very sensitive to water logging . ☘️
⚡️Climate: It is a hard and temperate plant that can tolerate drought and frost conditions. ☘️

Why in the news: The Indonesian government aims to evacuate at least 16,000 residents from villages around the active Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki volcano that erupted and killed nine people.
🌟Situated on Flores Island in Indonesia, this volcanic mountain is found in the East Nusa Tenggara province.
🌟Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki is part of a unique twin-volcano system, where local communities view the two peaks as representing male and female forms.
🌟 The current volcanic activity is occurring at LewotobiLaki-Laki, the male mountain, while its female counterpart is known as Lewotobi Perempuan.
📌Volcanic Classification:
Both mountains are categorized as stratovolcanoes, the most common type of volcano on Earth, formed through repeated eruptions that build layers of lava around the vent.
