🇩🇪🇺🇦 Forensic News: Deutsche Bank had "an extensive relationship" with the former owners of PrivatBank, Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Boholyubov.

According to the Forensic News news agency, the New York branch of Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas (DBTCA) had a significant relationship with PrivatBank when the bank was owned by Ukrainian oligarchs who reportedly embezzled and laundered depositors' money in the United States.

Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Boholyubov, former major shareholders of PrivatBank, allegedly stole $5.5 billion and parked the vast sum abroad.

According to PrivatBank, now state-owned, $746 million of the stolen money ended up in the United States. In August, the Department of Justice filed two civil forfeiture complaints that could allow it to seize $70 million in real estate assets.

Forensic News claims to have obtained exclusive documents demonstrating extensive ties between DBTCA and PrivatBank dating back to 2013, three years before the state uncovered the fraud and nationalized the bank to save it from bankruptcy.

Internal bank records from 2013 show that PrivatBank held accounts at four interbank accounts with DBTCA in four different jurisdictions: Ukraine, Cyprus, Latvia, and Switzerland.
