We are starting with the above welcoming video from one of our founding partners.
At the end of this class you will be working away with three things:

1) An understanding of the world of startup.

2) Opportunity to send your Pitch deck to International Investors.

3) A second seed funding opportunity from Connect with Jeennali.
Course 1 Topic: Understanding the stages of startup.

Below is an example of the reason why you need to learn this topic;

Eric had an Edtech idea to develop an App that helps secondary school students to understand Mathematics. The idea was super brilliant that he developed his pitch deck and submitted to Jack Jin, a venture capitalist. Eric never got a feedback from Jack after waiting for close to a year. He lost all hopes and decided to drop the idea and do something else. He thought that the reason why Jack didn't respond to his pitch was because his idea was super horrible.

Fast forward to few years ago, a 37yrs old former teacher and celebrity tutor in India, Byju Raveendran, developed an App where Disney characters like The Lion King's Simba and Anna from the Frozen movie teach Math and English to students from grade one to three. He sent his idea to an Edtech Investor and got funded. Currently, Byju Raveendran is Indian's current new billionaire.
What are the reason why Eric didn't get a response?

We didn't get to see Eric's Pitch deck but there are two mistakes he made that is popularly made by young startup founders.

1) Jack Jin DOES NOT do Pre-seed investment.

2) Jack Jin is not interested in Education Technology Ideas. Jack Jin is a venture capitalist in GSR Ventures, and he is an Early stage Investor who invests in; Internet, Wireless and Software sectors.
Almost Every investor has their sector and stage of interest. It is only few that are sector and stage agnostic.

If you don't even know what stage your start-up is in, and you do not have the information of the stages and sectors these Investors are interested in, you would misfire your pitch deck and will not get a response from any of the International Investors. That's why this course, Understanding the stages of startup is necessary

NB : When you finally have access to our Investor's List, make sure to check the stage each Investor is interested in before sending your Pitch deck to them.
