Remember after almost a year of 'nothing happening' with the Durham SCO, all of a sudden in mid-August you saw a series of anonymously sourced stories about how some Perkins Coie lawyer was about to be indicted?

That was Sussmann and his lawyers and others being targeted by the grand jury talking to the press trying to get ahead of the Durham indictment being unsealed.

Now the media was never heavily invested in a narrative that Durham was over, that nothing further was ever going to happen there. They didn't need to spend a week or two preparing the audience for a massive ground shift from "Durham was ended long ago" to "Actually Durham is about to begin making indictments.

But a narrative the Fake News has been very heavily invested in for the past 14 months is that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation and wasn't to be reported on or taken seriously.

So when targets who are about to be indicted based on evidence on the laptop are running to the NYT's WaPo looking for a little preemptive spin, the Fake News media does have to do some heavy lifting getting ready for the massive narrative shift.

The narrative shift from "That laptop is fake and nobody should talk about it" to "That laptop is real and HOLY SHIT THE STUFF THE BIDEN FAMILY WAS UP TO WILL CURL YOUR HAIR!"
