今次全國好多個城市一齊合作，收集簽名，期望英國政府正視維持姊妹城市既客觀效果係支持中共。紐卡素已經成功脫鈎，期待更多城市一齊同中國城市脫鈎。
We connected many cities across the country for this petition, hoping that the UK government will face up to the objective effect that maintaining sister cities is supporting the CCP. Newcastle has successfully de-twined, and we look forward to more cities de-twin from Chinese cities.

英中G20「辛習會」因「日程調動」被臨時取消之際，英國軍情五處（MI5）處長麥卡雷姆（Ken McCallum）公開提及中國駐曼徹斯特領事館人員襲擊香港抗爭者事件，指事件反映中國想方設法監控恐嚇海外華人，認為有關壓制有進一步發展跡象。他強調，英國不會容忍中國威嚇或騷擾英國國民以及視英國為家的人。
另一方面，中國智能手機巨頭聞泰科技（Wingtech）透過旗下荷蘭安世半導體（Nexperia）全面收購英國最大晶片廠Newport Wafer Fab（簡稱NWF）受到嚴重挫敗。英國政府周三以收購案或危害英國國家安全為由，要求安世半導體出售NWF至少86%股權。此舉無疑將安世半導體在NWF持股量由去年7月完成全面收購時的100%大幅降低還原至收購前的14%。

英國下議院外交委員會主席凱恩斯（Alicia Kearns）率領國會議員訪台，周五（2日）與台灣總統蔡英文會面，這是英國國會在2006年後、相隔16年後再有官方訪問團赴台。凱恩斯一直積極推動在台灣引入中文教師和華語機構，取代孔子學院，而英國文化協會也會協台在2030年達成雙語地區的目標，更表明歡迎台灣以正式成員成份參與包括世界衞生組織（WHO）等多邊組織。蔡英文致辭時強調，台灣面對威權主義擴張，期盼民主國家應團結捍衞共同價值，致力維護區域的和平穩定。
凱恩斯重提港人Bob Chan在中國駐曼城領館遇襲案，她指中國領事館對示威者的暴行需面對法律制裁，她想質問英國政府為何拖了這麼久還未正式起訴中方行為？她呼籲中國政府應免除那位打人的中國領事的外交豁免權，讓犯事者受到制裁，否則英國應直接把該打人者驅逐出境。

Bipartisan Reintroduction of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office Certification Act
U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Jeff Merkley (D-OR) reintroduced the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) Certification Act today to reevaluate the United States’ recognition of HKETOs following Hong Kong’s loss of autonomy. Congressmen Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Jim McGovern (D-MA) will reintroduce companion legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives. The HKETO Certification Act was first introduced in December 2022.
