The bar graphs compare the percentages of investments done to improve roads and transportation in four distinct countries: Italy, Portugal, the UK and the USA. The data cover the period between 1990 and 2005.

Overall, it is noteworthy that all countries commenced to expend less money by the end of the period, with Portugal having the biggest decrease and the USA having fluctuations. Despite the decline, Portugal remained dominant. While relatively larger percentages were true for European countries, a reverse was seen in the rest two, with the UK always being at the bottom.

To start with more substantial figures, Portuguese government had spent at around 27% of their budget on roads and transport – the highest figure in the graph throughout the period. However, it started to decrease until the end and reached well-above 15% - the highest share in the ultimate year. With regards to Italy, its percentage had been 20% initially; before hitting well-below 15% with a slight increase eventually, it had decreased for a decade till 2000.

As for the next two countries, their percentages never went above 15%. Beginning the period at around 11%, it plunged in 2005 with its peak at approximately 13% in 1995. The USA had quite moderate shares. Within the span, an oscillation between 14% and 12% was the case for it; its initial and final rates were almost equal at about 13%.

Day 12, second task 1 🔥💣🔥

The table compares the proportions of mobile phone users who used their gadgets for distinct purposes between 2006 and 2010.

Overall, there was an upward trend in all categories albeit to varying degrees. While all users utilized their cellphones to make phone calls almost in all three years, playing games and music, and recording videos were not that popular among them. Despite being a relatively novel feature, the internet use gained much attention. It is also noteworthy that communicating via text messages and taking photos remained having relatively large shares.

To start with the highest and lowest figures, all users had used their phones to call others in the first two years; however, a slight decrease by 1% was the case for it in the ultimate year. The percentage of using phones to play games increased significantly from initial 17% having a decline by 1% ultimately when it reached 41%. Starting off the period at a little above 10%, the figure for playing music kept rising until the end – 26%. Although there had been no information on video recording purpose in 2006, the rate for it soared and hit 35% finally.

As for the internet, having had no data firstly, the figure for it experienced a dramatic increase – the biggest change in share in the table – reached a little above 70%.

When it comes to texting and photography, they had quite moderate proportions. Commencing the period at 66% - taking photos, and 73% - messages, they both rose gradually and were almost equal in the final year at around 78%.

The picture illustrates a working mechanism of a photo booth. Overall, the whole process of taking a photo consists of two major stages, half done outside and the rest inside the booth. One has to decide the type and color of the photo once payment has been done. It is also noteworthy that distinct-heighted people can make use of it by using a special tool, and the photo-taking procedure is done in a complete darkness.

To start, the first thing that needs to be done is inserting a coin or coins banking on the format of the photo. The coin-inserting spot is placed on the left of the photo booth in the middle. There are two different-sized buttons immediately below it in order to choose either one large format or 4 passport-sized ones. Right below them, there are two more similar-sized buttons that make the photo either colored, which are obliged to be passport photos, or black & white. When these actions have been completed, a person can enter the booth.

Inside it, there is an adjustable stool assisting people of various heights to get to the level of eye-level, which is located in the middle. Above it, a mirror is hung that is used to look after oneself before taking a photo. Between a mirror and eye-level, there is a special light with a string on it, which is pulled down for the capture. Having pulled it down, one should wait for the flash light for 3 seconds. While doing so, one has to be sure that a curtain is closed so that there would not be any distractions. After all, photos are delivered within 60 seconds in a special container-alike spot - directly below the color-choosing buttons - on the left side of the booth.
