After storming Al Jazeera's headquarters in the West Bank, The Palestinian Authority (PA) has banned Al Jazeera from operating in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip.

According to Barak Ravid, this was retaliation for the "highly critical coverage" of the joint PA and Israeli military operation in the West Bank city of Jenin against Palestinian armed factions, which started on December 14.

The Official Palestinian news agency "WAFA" stated that the decision was a result of Al Jazeera's "manipulation, interference in internal affairs, and dissemination of misleading and incendiary reports."

Al Jazeera has condemned the decision, saying that it was linked to a broader campaign against its journalists.

However, the PA announced that this suspension is temporary, pending the network's compliance with legal regulations.

I can now say that Kurakhove has fallen, although geolocations are yet to reflect this.

From January 2nd, Moldova will import electricity from Ukraine and Romania. Most of their electricity needs (62%) will come from Romania, however Ukraine will supply electricity to Moldova from Ukraine's state nuclear energy operator, Energoatom. This will occur at night when consumption rates are lower and there is a surplus of resources.
