Yesterday, the IDF announced that one Israeli soldier of the 77th Armoured Battalion of the 7th Armuored Brigade was killed by a Hezbollah FPV drone strike in southern Lebanon.
They also stated that 6 other soldiers were injured, including 4 seriously, 1 moderately , and 1 lightly.
Hezbollah then targeted the rescue team with 2 FPV drones. One was shot down, while the second missed its target, as seen in the attached videos.

The Israeli Defence Ministry only issued a public call for solutions to the threat last week – nearly two years after such drones first appeared in Ukraine.
Israel initially assessed Hezbollah’s fibre‑optic drones could operate only over a few kilometres, but launches have since been detected from up to 15 kilometres away.

Hezbollah are idiots not to have invested in this earlier. For some reason they chose to prioritise unguided rockets that are too inaccurate to hit anything valuable over this. Even Hamas started using FPV drones to a limited degree back in 2023. Both sides seem very incompetent in this regard.

At the moment, the situation is closer to the opposite: it is controlled and has been somewhat stabilized relative to past weeks by the responsible units.
Russian infiltrators, though, understanding the importance of this objective, continue attempts to enter the town.
