In the Khotin, Yunakivka, & Myropillya directions, Russian forces continued their assault operations and have made new advances in three different areas.

In the west, Russian forces captured the rest of a treeline northeast of Korchakivka and gained a foothold in the forest to the south. This has allowed forward Russian assault groups to operate on the eastern approaches to Korchakivka and the northwestern approaches to Nova Sich.

To the east, the Russians resumed their assault operations across the international border northwest of Gornal. As a result, they recaptured previously lost positions in the groves southeast of Sadky.

Further east, Russian forces continued slowly advancing towards Myropillya from the east. They were able to improve their positions in the treelines abandoned by Ukrainian soldiers. The main battles have now shifted towards the eastern outskirts of Myropillya itself.

The IDF announced that two more soldiers were injured by a Hezbollah FPV drone strike on southern Lebanon.

One of the soldiers was seriously injured, while the other was lightly injured. Both soldiers have reportedly been evacuated for medical treatment.

Hezbollah stated that they carried out 4 FPV drone attacks on IDF forces in southern Lebanon yesterday, including 2 on gatherings of IDF soldiers, 1 on an Israeli Merkava tank, and 1 on an Israeli D9 military bulldozer.

In the Krasnopillya direction, Russian forces continued to advance and have captured new positions in two different areas.

In the south, Russian forces continued incrementally advancing through the forests towards Taratutyne, albeit at a slower pace compared to before. They were able to occupy a number of positions here and subsequently entered the village. Newly arrived Ukrainian reinforcements are counterattacking, with the village remaining in the grey-zone for the time being.

To the north, the Russians further improved their positions in the large forests east of Novodmytrivka and managed to entrench in the eastern streets of the village. Heavy fighting is ongoing for the flanks of the settlement too.

Further north, Ukrainian forces attempted to counterattack towards the forests south of Pokrovka, with unknown results. Russian forces are also carrying out assault operations towards the centre of Stepok.

In the Bilyi Kolodyaz direction, Russian forces continued their intensified assault operations and have made new advances in several different areas.

In the southwest, Russian forces improved their positions in the forests east of Verkhnya Pysarivka and are now starting to infiltrate southeast towards the village of Losivka. Fighting is also still ongoing for the forested areas east of Symynivka.

To the northeast, the Russians advanced south from Vovchanski-Khutoryi and captured a number of treeline positions, from which they are attempting to push further south. Other assault groups managed to enter the western part of Pokalyane. Additionally, the Russians managed to capture some positions in the treelines southeast of the large forest and are using this to infiltrate southwest into Zybyne and southeast towards Karaichne.

Further northeast, Russian forces cleared additional parts of the forests south of the international border and have intensified their infiltrations into Bochkove and towards Chaikivka. Additionally, other forces crossed the international border at a new point, where they secured a section of the forest and are now trying to infiltrate southeast towards Mala Vovcha.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces continued their assault operations and have made new progress in two different areas.

In the southeast, following earlier infiltrations and Ukrainian withdrawals, Russian forces cleared the remaining treeline positions south of Pishchane and have begun infiltrating further west through the fields towards Kivsharivka.

To the northwest, the Russians improved their positions in the central part of Kurylivka. From there, they are infiltrating south into Kivsharivka, southwest towards the forests and former industrial zone, west into Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, and northwest into the high-rise micro-district of Kurylivka.

Further northwest, Russian forces continued infiltrating from Petropavlivka into Podoly and the southeastern outskirts of Kupyansk. Other assault groups continued infiltrating the northwestern suburbs of Kupyansk from their bridgehead, as well as the western and central parts of the city.

In the Borova direction, over the last month, Ukrainian forces were able to recover previously some previously lost positions east of Bohuslavka.

They cleared the zone of Russian infiltration in and around Nova Kruhlyakivka, linking up with soldiers entrenched further east, before advancing along the southern bank of the reservoir and recapturing multiple trench fortifications north of Borivska Andriivka.

In the Borova, Svyatohirsk, and Lyman directions, over the last two months Ukrainian forces carried out a series of clearing operations and counterattacks against mostly poorly consolidated Russian positions, aimed at alleviating pressure on Lyman from the northwest and preventing the fall of Svyatohirsk.

In the north, Ukrainian forces cleared out the Russian infiltration zone south of Vovchyi Yar and recaptured a number of treeline positions to the southeast and on the eastern approaches to Korovii Yar.

To the southwest, the Ukrainians cleared the Russian infiltrators from the forests west of Oleksandrivka and subsequently recaptured the village. Other assault groups recaptured positions in the forests to the southwest, and cleared the infiltration zone north of Sosnove.

To the south, Ukrainian forces advanced west from Sosnove and recaptured positions adjacent to the railway line, while simultaneously, other forces dislodged Russian forces from the northern outskirts of Svyatohirsk, pushing them back to the forests north of Yarova.

To the east, Ukrainian forces cleared out the eastern part of Svyatohirsk and the forests south of Yarova from Russian DRGs, before recapturing the western part of Yarova. Fighting continues for the central part of the village, which continues to remain in the grey-zone.

Further east, the Ukrainians cleared Russian infiltrators from the forests south of Drobysheve and recaptured the southern and western parts of the town. They also recaptured positions in the forests to the northwest.

These advances took place due to a combination of factors, including the arrival of Ukrainian reinforcements, a lack of Russian consolidation in this salient, poor Russian logistics over the Nitrius River, less severe Ukrainian logistical issues over the Oskil River from Izyum, extensive forests and built up areas for force concealment, a series of fortified hills south of the Siverskyi Donets River housing FPV drone operators that provided constant fire support, and a general Russian de-prioritisation of this area in favour of attacking other parts of the Lyman direction.

Russian Air Force affiliated channel Aviahub claims that a new goal has been set to triple KAB glide-bomb production rates in order to be able to launch 20,000-24,000 KABs per month.

In the Lyman and Rai-Oleksandrivka directions, both Russian and Ukrainian forces have advanced.

In the north, Ukrainian forces cleared the area of School No. 2 and the surrounding high-rise buildings and low-rise streets in eastern Lyman from Russian soldiers. From there, they infiltrated northeast and north towards Russian positions in nearby forested areas. Other assault groups began infiltrating east of the Masliakivka District into the nearby forests.

To the southeast, Russian forces continued their assault operations west of Kalenyky and southeast of Kryva Luka, while other forces began attacking south from Riznykivka in an attempt at outflanking Ukrainian fortifications in the treelines there. They also began re-infiltrating the northern and central parts of Ozerne following earlier Ukrainian attacks into Yampil.

To the south, the Russians further improved their positions in the forested areas east of Rai-Oleksandrivka, before exploiting a small gap in the anti-tank ditch to infiltrate the eastern houses of Rai-Oleksandrivka for the first time. They also further improved their positions in the large forest northwest of Pazeno.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces continued their assault operations and have made additional progress.

In the west, Russian forces marginally advanced in the eastern and northern parts of Stepanivka and also captured some positions east of the village. From there, they began infiltrating north up the road into the eastern part of Dovha Balka. Assault operations are also taking place towards a Ukrainian strongpoint on the tactical heights west of Stepanivka, as well as in the area of the chalk quarries north of Rusyn Yar.

To the east, the Russians once again intensified their infiltrations into the southwestern part of Kostyantynivka, this time with higher numbers of infantry. Some soldiers have managed to enter some outer high-rise buildings and the southeastern private sectors. Heavy fighting is ongoing.

To the northeast, Russian forces intensified their assault operations in the eastern and southeastern suburbs, where they are trying to advance in the area of the railway station, north of the technical school, and towards the Hora District from the southeast. Additionally, due to recent advances in the forests and dachas east of the city, the Russians managed to enter the northern and eastern parts of the Hora district, as well as the southern part of the village of Novodmytrivka.

In the Dobropillya direction, Russian forces continued their assault operations and have advanced in four different areas.

In the southwest, Russian forces cleared out the treelines south of Hryshyne that Ukrainian assault groups had entrenched in during the failed mechanised assault. They were also able to clear the northwestern part of Hryshyne, once again establishing full control over the village. From there, they are attempting to infiltrate west and northwest into the nearby treelines.

To the northeast, the Russians gained a foothold in the southern part of Novooleksandrivka and continued infiltrating north, northwest and northeast from the settlement. They also captured some treeline positions north of Hryshyne.

Further northeast, Russian forces continued their assault operations north of Pokrovsk and in the direction of Shevchenko, and were able to re-enter the former "Zaporozhskaya" Mine west of Rodynske, effectively blocking the Ukrainian infiltration route into the western part of the city. Additionally, the Russians intensified their infiltrations into the southern and eastern parts of Bilyske, and also began attacking the city from the northeast.

In the Pokrovs'ke direction, both Russian and Ukrainian forces have advanced.

In the northeast, Russian forces cleared the fields north of Novoivanivka from Ukrainian infiltrators and recaptured some treeline positions southwest of Novomykolaivka. They also continued attacking Ukrainian positions in and around Ternove and Berezove, and attempted a deep motorcycle attack up the road north of Kalynivske to the fields west of Stepove. On the other hand, Ukrainian forces continued assault operations at a lower pace, re-entering the northwestern part of Novomykolaivka.

To the west, the Russians cleared some treeline positions northwest of Novohryhorivka and continued fighting for the village of Verbove and positions west of it, which remain entirely in the grey-zone. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces were able to once again clear the villages of Danylivka, Yehorivka, Tsehelne, and Pryvillya following earlier failed Russian mechanised assaults, and recaptured numerous positions south of Vyshneve in the direction of Krasnohirske.

To the southwest, Russian forces repelled the Ukrainian assault on Solodke, pushing them back from the outskirts of the village and recaptured numerous treeline positions to the north and west. They also re-entered the village of Rybne, capturing positions in the southern houses of the settlement. Additionally, Russian forces intensified their infiltrations into Kosivtseve once again, and also opened up a new infiltration route up the western bank of the Haichur River, reaching the western approaches to Radisne.

In the Omelnyk direction, Russian forces continued their intensified assault operations and have made significant progress southwest of Hulyaipole.

In the south, Russian forces advanced further through the treelines on the tactical heights north of Myrne and began infiltrating northwest towards the southeastern outskirts of Novoselivka, with some isolated DRGs even entering the village. They also marginally advanced in the treelines southwest of Myrne.

To the northeast, following the completion of the Ukrainian withdrawal, Russian forces cleared the majority of the salient south of Zaliznychne and improved their positions in the treelines northeast of Myrne.

Further north, in coordination with increased attacks to the south, the Russians continued infiltrations down the highway to the northeastern outskirts of Huliaipilske, and managed to capture new treeline positions southwest of Zaliznychne. Furthermore, they deepened their infiltrations from Hirke towards Huliaipilske from the north, and also expanded their infiltrations into the centre of Verkhnya Tersa. Large grey-zones exist in both places.

In the Komyshuvakha direction, Ukrainian forces continued their counterattacks and have advanced in two different areas.

In the east, Ukrainian forces continued clearing the Russian salient stretching northeast from Kamyanske. They were able clear Russian infiltrators from the southern part of Novoboikivske and recaptured the treeline positions southwest of Novoyakovlivka. Assault operations are also taking place southwest down the road from Lukyanivske towards the solar farm.

In the west, the Ukrainians marginally advanced in the southern part of Prymorske after failed Russian assault operations. Some small groups of soldiers also managed to cross the river onto Ahrama Street in the southern part of Stepnohirsk, while Russian forces are attempting to recapture the high-rise block in the town centre currently held by Ukrainian GUR special forces.

Situation in southern Lebanon as of April 28, 2026 - Central sector:

Despite the "ceasefire", Israeli forces continue their clearing operations south of the Yellow Line, which is the agreed-upon forward operating line for the IDF for the time being.

Following drone strikes on isolated Hezbollah cells in the centre of Bint Jbeil, the IDF established full control over the flattened Old City and captured the majority of the northern suburbs, beginning extensive demolition activity to flatten the rest of the city. Israeli forces are yet to fully clear the northernmost parts of the city.

Additionally, the IDF began operating in the town of Tayri for the first time, establishing full control over it and the surrounding areas up to the Yellow Line, and beginning extensive demolitions.

Despite the "ceasefire", Israeli forces continue their clearing operations south of the Yellow Line, which is the agreed-upon forward operating line for the IDF for the time being.

Israeli forces expanded their clearing operations in the city of Khiam to the northern suburbs, where they are now carrying out extensive demolitions. They also cleared additional parts of the northwestern streets. Parts of the western, northern, northwestern, and northeastern streets are yet to be fully occupied.
