The remaining 3 Tu-22M3 aircraft are returning to Engels-2 air base. It appears that all 6 of them launched missiles.

A Mig-31K departed from Savasleyka air base. It can carry the Kinzhal hypersonic missile.

A second MiG-31K is reportedly airborne.

Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces have advanced in the Lyman direction and captured most of Terny.

After a series of Ukrainian counterattacks, Russian forces restarted assault operations here and regained the initiative. They were able to occupy a number of positions in the forests to the west of Terny, while also advancing towards the southern outskirts of the village.

As a result of these assault operations, Russia was able to establish control over around 95% of Terny, with a small Ukrainian presence being retained in the southernmost houses.

Today, Ukraine struck a Russian Mi-8 helicopter with a Magura V5 naval strike drone equipped with R-73 “SeaDragon” missiles off the coast of Cape Tarkhankut, Crimea.

Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces made a small advance on the western flank of Pokrovsk.

They were able to cross the tributary of the Solona river, taking up new positions in the forest plantations east of Vovkove. This puts Russia closer to the Pokrovsk-Proyasna highway.

The IDF reported that they - in cooperation with the ISA - killed the commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)'s Rocket Unit, Anas Muhammad Saadi Masri, in Northern Gaza at the beginning of December.

They claimed that Saadi Masri commanded rocket attacks from Northern Gaza at communities in southern Israel.

They also claimed that "prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions, intelligence, and aerial surveillance."

Syrian outlets report the sound of clashes involving medium and heavy weapons in the vicinity of Damascus.

We found out the result of the Russian missile strike on Beryslav district, Kherson Oblast.

3 Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles were used to target Ukrainian HIMARS. Three different types were used.

The first "classic" 9M723 missed the HIMARS completely, the submunitions of the 9M723K5 cluster munition detonated in the area, and the final missile with an air burst hit closer to the end of the column, probably causing some damage to a pair of the rear launchers.

Russian forces have reportedly advanced in the Lyman direction, seizing new trench positions in the forests east of Yampolivka.

The French Ministry of Defence announced that the French air force conducted airstrikes on ISIS positions in Syria. Here is a video of those airstrikes.

It’s just gone midnight for me here in New Zealand, and I wanted to make this post to thank you all so much for an incredible 2024. It’s quite literally been life-changing for me.

You guys won’t know this, but for the past 8 years (nearly half my life), I’ve really struggled with my mental health - for a multitude of reasons. I’ve had an incredibly tough time for so long and it felt like it would never end. However, beginning my reporting journey has shown me that there are people out there who are interested in what I have to say, and who have similar interests as me. It means so much to me knowing this, and I wanted to thank every single one of you who has supported me in any way, whether that be following me, reposting or even just liking a post. You have all contributed to this. My appreciation is beyond measure.

I hope you all have an amazing New Years, and I am looking forward to an even better 2025. Let’s look to the future and hope for peace in this world.
