The situation in Velyka Novosilka is becoming critical for Ukraine. In blue are the main Ukrainian defences. The issue is that there is very little between the Russians west of Storozheve and the last road leading out of the town.

Additionally, there are no major fortifications south of Novyi Komar which will prevent the Russians from entering the northern part of Velyka Novosilka.
