The Saudi-led coalition claims that this AH-64 Apache helicopter crashed due to a "technical malfunction", rather than it being shot down by Ansarallah.

In addition to Ukraine's massive overnight drone attack on St Petersburg, Ukraine launched at least 17 FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles at Russia, all of which were once again shot down by Russian air defence.

The missiles were launched in three groups, probably targeting St Petersburg and possible Moscow, along with other regions of Russia. The interceptions took place over Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk, Smolensk, Oryol, and Tula Oblast.

I think the Flamingo can officially be declared the most overrated and useless missile ever to be used in this war.

It has an interception rate of around 98%.

Prominent Russian mapper Rybar denies the MoD claim about Dobropillya being under Russian control, and hasn't even added Russian control zones to any part of the city.

They also indicated that the claims by the MoD of capturing neighbouring Serhiivka are premature as well.

And I'm not going to talk about the Ukrainian flag raises to deny claims of Russian advances in the Dobropillya direction, because they - just like the Russian flag raises - are irrelevant.

Flag raising from both sides means literally nothing, and do not prove control over anything. In reality, the frontline in this sector (and many others) is a massive grey and infiltration zone, filled with mixed and overlapping positions held by small groups of soldiers from both sides. Anyone can send out a small group of infiltrators to a location behind the other's "lines" and raise a flag in front of a drone.

Russia doesn't control Dobropillya, but neither does Ukraine. I still believe that Ukraine likely has more soldiers in the city than Russia at this moment, but it would be incorrect to label the city as "Ukrainian controlled" due to this expanding grey-zone and infiltration zone.

Expectations vs. Reality.

Russian Chief of the General Staff Gerisamov claims that Russian forces are now just 5km from the outskirts of Zaporizhzhia City.

In reality, fighting is still ongoing for the village of Plavni - 25 km from the outskirts of the city. This is also confirmed by multiple Russian channels, who report continued attempts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions in this area.

Gerisamov also claimed that Russian forces captured Malokaterynivka, where not a single Russian soldier has even entered the town for around two months. The only times Russian soldiers have been recorded in the town were two instances of DRGs operating there, including one a couple months ago, and another at around the beginning of 2026.
