In the official confirmation video posted by the Ukrainian 3rd Army Corps "Azov", a very interesting map was given at the beginning which showed their view of the frontline before the operation began in May 2026.

At this time, most Ukrainian mappers, including Deepstate, were portraying the frontline in this sector as only having a small Russian bridgehead west of the Nitrius River, which I and others had repeatedly disputed.

The map posted by the 3rd Army Corps has exposed Deepstate's attempts to lie about the frontline configuration here, as the official 3rd Army map showed the villages of Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, and around half of Yarova as under Russian control. In fact, in the Oleksandrivka area, they have the frontline 7.5 km (!) west of Deepstate's.

I have overlayed the 3rd Army Corps frontline (red) and my frontline in May (yellow) with Deepstate's map from the time. With this, we can see that the general size of the bridgehead shown on my map is almost identical to the size of the bridgehead shown by the 3rd Army Corps. In fact, the 3rd Army Corps map even has some areas marked as Russian control that I didn't have, although I had these marked as Russian-controlled at the beginning of 2026, until they were later cleared in April. It's likely that the 3rd Army Corps map represents the maximum extent of the Russian advance at each point, and includes the smaller Ukrainian clearing operations before the counteroffensive as part of the overall operation.

In any sense, this should serve as (yet another) reminder not to trust Deepstate for Russian advances! They are tied in with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence and purposefully don't update sections of their map for propaganda purposes. This has been the case for a few years now.

As the frontline approaches and the evacuation zone expands, the gas branches in the cities of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk have announced that they will not be relocating, and pledged to remain in the cities for as long as possible

This comes as the approaching winter is expected to be much harsher on these frontline cities, which are slowly being destroyed by Russian strikes as the frontline approaches. The remaining ~50,000 civilians are at risk of freezing to death if the heat is not kept on.

As Russia continues to advance and strikes continue to intensify, the zone of mandatory evacuation for families with children in Donetsk Oblast was expanded yesterday, to include the town of Novodonetske, additional parts of Slovyansk, and some nearby villages.

This added evacuation zone is around 159 km² in size, decreasing the area of Ukrainian-controlled Donetsk Oblast without evacuation orders to just ~1,451 km², which equates to around ~5.47% of Donetsk Oblast, or just ~2.73% of Donbas.

The evacuation zone now includes the town of Novodonetske, the villages of Iverske, Shostakivka, Novosamarske, Adamivka, Mykilske, Khrestyshche, and Hlyboka Makatykha, and part of the village of Sukhanivka.

It also includes most of the northern suburbs of Slovyansk, with around 41.5% of the city now being under evacuation order, an increase from 27.7%. Around 10% of Kramatorsk city remains under evacuation orders for families with children.

The Ukrainian command has sent reinforcements to Orikhiv to try stabilise the rapidly deteriorating situation.

It's unclear which sector of the frontline they were pulled from. Perhaps the Komar direction.

During last night's Russian combined missile attack on Kyiv, all three of the Oniks-M cruise missiles that were launched missed their targets, landing in open areas near residential buildings and a school.

At least one of the RM-48U S-400 ballistic missiles also missed its target.
