Following the failed FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missile attack, Ukrainian drones attacked Samara City.

It's unknown if anything was actually hit, however the impact of a drone in an open area (likely due to electronic warfare interference) was seen.

The IDF released footage showing the massive controlled demolition of the Hezbollah command centre and tunnel complex at Ali al-Taher hill, southern Lebanon.

Ali Al-Taher was previously home to the headquarters of the Badr Unit, which was constructed with the help of the IRGC into a massive fortified complex over a 20-year period.

It's loss and subsequent destruction is a major strategic defeat for Hezbollah, and will significantly impact their ability to defend southern Lebanon from the IDF in the near future.

Having the ability to create a large bridgehead in 2025 only to not even be able to defend it in 2026 kinda disproves the Russian claim that they have the initiative, especially when you look at their inability to destroy Ukrainian holdouts east of the Oskil for years now.
Yeah, I can imagine you would think that if you only focus in on one sector of warfare (frontline advances), and on one sector of the frontline. People seem to forget that having the "initiative" doesn't mean you won't take tactical or even strategic losses in some subsectors of the war.

No one is denying Russia took a major defeat in the Lyman direction that significantly improves Ukraine's position around Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, and Borova, but this hasn't changed the overall trajectory of attrition being inflicted, or the war in general. Stop being so hyper-focused on the more "comfortable" aspects of the war, and view it holistically. Everything feeds into everything and influences everything. Nitpicking certain changes to try paint a narrative is misleading and downright misinformation.

โšก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ฒ โ€“ Only seven vessels crossed the Strait of Hormuz Thursday, down from 11 the day before, and less than half of the 10-day average of 15, according to Kpler data cited by Reuters.

Of those, only two were outbound, and none were carrying oil. These numbers do not include vessels that may have transited the Strait with their AIS off.

โšก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ง IDF army radio: The IDF completed an operation to destroy two underground tunnels in the Ali Taher ridge after gradually taking control of the area over approximately three months. Around 50 Hezbollah operatives were given an opportunity to surrender but refused; most were reportedly killed during fighting inside the tunnels or while attempting to escape, though some managed to escape due to foggy conditions in the last few days.

IDF forces also intercepted Hezbollah supply deliveries to the area, including communications equipment, food, and water, while Yahalom combat engineers transported around 1,100 tonnes of explosives to destroy the tunnels. The military says its forces operated under threats from Hezbollah explosive drones and maintained secrecy over the operation due to concerns about possible responses from Hezbollah and Iran.

The IDF has withdrawn from the Ali Taher ridge to positions further back around the Beaufort area, while maintaining remote control of the ridge through fire and surveillance. It says the โ€œyellow lineโ€ remains unchanged and that any attempt by Hezbollah operatives to return to the area will be met with an attack.

Over the last two weeks, Ukraine has been carrying out a series of counterattacks and stabilising actions in the northeastern corner of Kharkiv Oblast, aimed at eliminating the threat of encirclement to it's forces stationed in the salient east of Vovchansk.

Towards the end of July, Russia began a two-pronged attack from the east and west aimed at cutting off around 430 kmยฒ of Ukrainian-controlled territory. To do this, they achieved a series of tactical breakthroughs into several different villages, and began advancing towards the key logistical hub of Prykolotne.

The Ukrainian command quickly sent in reinforcements to hold back the line, and despite losing the villages of Anyshchyne, Ivashchyne, Ustynivka, Shevyakivka, and Artilne on the eastern flank, they were able to slow the Russian advance and eventually stabilise the situation. Several small assault groups were dispatched to the Dovzhanka area to clear out Russian soldiers who infiltrated it in mid-August. After being unable to consolidate, Russia began heavily shelling these areas with artillery and MLRS, while deploying reinforcements to try hold back additional Ukrainian counterattacks on Anyshchyne.

The Ukrainian counterattacks on Anyshchyne would eventually prove successful after they were able to clear Russian infiltrators from the villages of Vilkhuvatka and Vodyane to the south, with them re-establishing control over Anyshchyne at the beginning of September. Since then, new counterattacks have been underway slightly further north, where Ukrainian forces managed to clear the fields east of Chorne and Kupyne from earlier Russian infiltrators and began counterattacks on Ivashchyne, which they were also able to recapture at the beginning of September.

Following these tactical losses, the local Russian command requested airstrikes on Ukrainian positions throughout these villages to try prevent them from accumulating and beginning attacks eastward towards the international border. Dozens of KABs were dropped on these areas, including deployment points in villages further west, however Ukrainian forces were still able to recapture some positions east of Ivashchyne and Ustynivka, and are now engaged in battles for Ustynivka itself.

Meanwhile, to the south, Russia has resumed assault operations near Khatnje, making new advances north of the village towards Zarubynka, and attacking towards Khatnje itself.

+ ~44.0 kmยฒ in favour of Ukraine.
+ ~2.16 kmยฒ in favour of Russia.
