Situation on the Komar direction.

Ukrainian forces have regained control over most of the village of Zaporizhzhya and are now assaulting a series of Russian strongpoints in the treelines to the east. Russian forces are counterattacking in Yalta, re-entering the settlement from the northeast.

North of the Vovcha River, Ukrainian forces are engaged in fighting for Filiya and continue attempts at reaching Dachne from the north. Their likely goal is to reach Dachne from both the north and south, and force a Russian withdrawal from the Filiya area.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces established a small foothold east of the Mokri Yaly River at the highway and are continuing attempts at reaching Komar from the north. Fighting is also underway for the surrounding treeline positions.

Closer-up view of the approximate situation near Komar.

Russian forces repelled the Ukrainian attacks across the Mokri Yaly River into western Komar and launched their own infiltrations into the southeastern streets of Myrne.

Ukrainian forces continued attempts at reaching Komar from their newly-established bridgehead over the river at the highway, and are engaged in battles for nearby treeline positions.

Khotin direction.

Medium-intensity fighting has persisted in Sumy Oblast for the last month, with neither side gaining an upper hand.

In the last week, Russia launched a new assault on the village of Pysarivka, managing to infiltrate several small infantry groups into the fields north of the settlement. Claims by the Russian Ministry of Defence regarding the capture of Pysarivka are false. Fighting continues for the neighbouring treelines, where Ukrainian forces remain in several strongpoints.

Further east, the grey-zone has been expanded in favour of both sides, as each side's assault groups settle into mixed and overlapping positions. Russian forces continue infiltration attempts throughout the forests in and around Mala Korchakivka, and towards Nova Sich from Korchakivka. Fighting continues for two large forests northeast of Korchakivka, where Ukrainian forces are attempting to counterattack.

In the far-western part of the sector, Ukrainian forces launched a counterattack, clearing the western part of Kindrativka. Russian forces are now trying to regain control over these lost positions. The centre of the settlement remains in the grey-zone. Additionally, some Russian assault groups crossed the international border and re-entered the village of Novokostiantynivka this week, which was recaptued by Ukrainian forces last year.

Does anyone know why so many people are suddenly following me? Was I mentioned somewhere?

Either way, I need to get some sleep now. I will update you all in the morning about the possibility of a Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv tonight.

If I wake up with 180k followers or something I will lose my mind.

Regarding the Russian ballistic missile threat.

The threat has been extended for tonight because no major attack happened yesterday. The highest threat remains to Kyiv, Boryspil, and Kremenchuk. Poltava and Cherkasy cities may also be hit.

If an attack does take place, launches are expected between 30 mins and 3 hours from now. Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles and Kn-23 ballistic missiles may also be used.

Itโ€™s possible that any attack would be smaller and mainly serve to deplete the new Patriot interceptor missiles delivered to Ukraine, before a larger attack on the designated targets a few days later.

Ukraine carried out a large-scale, combined missile attack on Donetsk City today. A mix of FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles and Storm Shadow cruise missiles were launched by ground units and tactical aviation, striking two different targets.

At least 6 missiles struck an underground parking area of an unfinished residential complex (48.0285930,37.7896355), while another 7 struck an industrial building (48.001976, 37.847244). Ukrainian channels claim both locations were used to store large quantities of military equipment, including missile/rocket launchers, armoured vehicles, as well as personnel.

At least 8 civilians were injured in the attacks. No deaths among the civilian population were reported.

The IDF has blocked the return of over 33,000 Palestinians to their homes in the Nour Shams, Tulkarm, and Jenin Refugee Camps in the West Bank cities of Jenin and Tulkarm, as they intend to continue their military occupation.

The occupation, which is taking place as a part of an ongoing counter-insurgency operation which began in early 2025, dubbed operation "Iron Wall", has seen widespread destruction of Palestinian militant infrastructure and demolitions of civilian infrastructure, converting these once densely populated areas into closed military zones.

The IDF justified this repeated decision by claiming that intelligence reports indicate that a withdrawal would allow local armed groups affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas to regroup and rebuild their military infrastructure, which prior to 2025, had the strongest Palestinian force located in these refugee camps, other than the Palestinian Authority.

A few hours ago, two Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from near Fatezh, Kursk Oblast, impacted an energy facility near the city of Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast. At least 7,000 residents of Pryluky were left without power following the strikes.

The likely target was the "Lelyaki" 110 kV electrical substation at 50.58408, 32.65280, although I can't 100% confirm this at the time of writing.

As I have previously reported, Russia is likely to increase their strikes on energy infrastructure towards the end of Summer as the heat can create additional strain on the power grid, while also putting pressure on it before a larger Winter campaign.

The drone flew for over 700 km without being shot down.

The likelihood of a new Russian operation in Chernihiv Oblast has increased significantly following the Russian armyโ€™s deployment of significant resources near the border over the last two months. The situation for the Ukrainian army is becoming markedly more serious. From what I have been able to gather, Ukrainian forces barely have the capacity to maintain their advance in the Donbas, having deployed their troops to Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv to secure political victories, but without altering the overall trend.
The opening of a new front in Chernihiv would leave Ukrainian forces facing the difficult decision of either abandoning one front or continuing to hold the entire line with fewer troops, thereby accelerating a simultaneous retreat without halting the gradual Russian advance.
The CIA meeting in Moscow may be linked to an offer from Washington to halt the war along the current front lines, in the knowledge that, following the strain caused by the regional conflict with Iran, they will be unable to maintain the current level of support for Kyiv next year. This offer is likely to be rejected by the Kremlin as it fails to meet the objectives of the so-called โ€˜Special Military Operationโ€™.
If the Chernihiv front opens up, the battle for the Donbas will draw to a close more quickly than expected, and with it, possibly the end of this conflict (at this stage). ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ
