Situation on the Orikhiv direction, Zaporizhzhia Oblast:

Over the last five days, Russian forces have massively stepped up their assault operations towards Orikhiv from several different directions, resulting in a partial collapse of Ukrainian defences.

In the southwest, Russian forces established control over the highway intersection south of Novodanylivka and gained a foothold in the southern part of the village. From here, following the earlier Russian special forces DRG infiltrations, Russian soldiers are infiltrating northwest into the southeastern residential blocks of Orikhiv, and north towards the western streets of Mala Tokmachka.

To the southeast, the Russians cleared a number of treeline positions and 2022-era fortifications northeast of Robotyne following weeks of back-and-forth battles. Ukrainian forces are attempting to counterattack in the area of the nearby forested gulley.

To the north, Russian forces re-established control over the eastern part of Mala Tokmachka and began intense infiltrations into the northern part of the village. From there, several groups of Russian infiltrators broke through Ukrainian defences, crossing north over the Konka River to the treelines north of Mala Tokmachka, and are attempting to capture a series of trench fortifications on the nearby tactical heights by attacking from the southwest. If they are able to consolidate, a defence of Mala Tokmachka by Ukraine will become nearly impossible. Heavy fighting continues for the Mala Tokmachka prison and adjacent residential streets.

To the northeast, Russian forces achieved a tactical breakthrough north of Bilohirya, capturing a series of important Ukrainian strongpoints on the tactical heights and penetrating further west towards the forests north of Mala Tokmachka. Ukrainian forces defending the Bilohirya area are now at a high risk of being physically cut off. Heavy fighting is now ongoing for the eastern approaches to the forests, as well as the trench fortifications on the tactical heights, which are now being attacked from both the east and southwest.

Further north, the Russians improved their positions in the treelines southwest of Huliaipilske, threatening to cut off Ukrainian positions in the western part of the village. From there, assault operations are being carried out on the southeastern part of Novoselivka.

Here's a closer-up view of the current approximate situation near Orikhiv, where the situation is rapidly deteriorating for Ukrainian forces.

Pro-Ukrainians labelling every claim they don't like as being Russian propaganda, and then turning around and blindly trusting every Ukrainian government claim is the funniest thing ever.

If Russia is able to sustain their infiltrations north of Mala Tokmachka, there might be some “surprising” geolocations surface in the coming days.

Especially considering the fact that I haven’t seen anyone else report on this frontline change yet.

The video is a week old. Russian soldiers filmed their staged display with flags and withdrew from Novosoloshyne via Liubitske, which may no longer have a Russian presence either.
Remember, what matters is that a general has pinned a new medal on himself for the virtual capture of a locality. No matter the cost of lives. (Sarcasm)

Moscow Oblast is under attack from dozens of Ukrainian long-range drones right now.

Air defence activity is reported around the outskirts of the capital, as they try to prevent the Ukrainian drones from reaching the city limits.

The IRGC attacked another vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in damage to the engine room and one casualty among the crew.

The rest of the crew are now being assisted by the Omani Coast Guard.

During today's massive drone attack on Moscow, Ukraine launched over 500 long-range drones of various types. One of the targets was the Moscow Oil Refinery.

Of these 500+ drones, not a single one impacted. Every single drone was intercepted by the first, second, and third rings of air defence around Moscow, as well as by mobile fire groups along the way through Ryazan, Tula, Kursk, Kaluga, Oryol, and Smolensk Oblasts. Several small fires broke out in various parts of Moscow Oblast due to falling debris.

Over 500 drones that could be used to attack valuable Russian targets closer to the border with much higher damage were wasted in a futile attack on Moscow. And unlike Ukraine, Russia doesn't appear to be anywhere near running out of interceptor missile stockpiles, and has sufficient mobile fire groups and interceptor drones to intercept drones along the way.

You may remember that I made a post back in June comparing the interception rate of Ukrainian drones attacking Moscow.

In October 2025, 150 out of 150 drones were shot down. In June 2026, at least 8 out of 300+ drones impacted the Moscow Oil Refinery. At the time, I explained that this was due to Ukraine's drone warfare capabilities have improved significantly, rather than Russian air defence capabilities decreasing. I even argued that Russian air defence was becoming more effective.

And it appears that time proved me right, with tonight's attack resulting in 100% of the 500+ drones flying towards Moscow being shot down - the most impressive interception rate yet considering how many drones were launched in such a short period of time.

While I still hold that Ukrainian drone capabilities are at their best yet, Russian air defence continues to improve, outpacing Ukraine's drone capabilities. Russia produces massive amounts of interceptor missiles of various types (Pantsir, Tor, S-300, etc), and does this entirely domestically. They also are implementing large numbers of interceptor drones, which continue to increase every day. Furthermore, Russia has significantly stepped up their usage of mobile fire groups, which are a more cost-effective solution, and often more effective in general when dealing with very low-flying drones.

Earlier tonight, at least four airstrikes targeted the runway at Abu al-Duhur Airbase in Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, likely carried out by the Israeli Air Force.
