The UAVs, identified as Russian-made Gerbera drones and possibly carrying explosives, were spotted around 08:00 in Romaniaโs exclusive economic zone, about 90 nautical miles from Constanศa.
EOD divers destroyed the two drones in controlled detonations, while a separate drone wing was recovered after being deemed safe.
The Romanian Naval Component Command contacted Ukraine, which confirmed that the aircraft did not belong to Ukrainian forces.
