Another cargo ship has been struck by a Russian Geran-4 jet-drone in the western Black Sea, off the coast of Sanzhiika, Odesa Oblast, resulting in a fire breaking out onboard.

Russia carried out several more mid-range strikes using Geran-2/4 drones.

Targets hit include 3 electrical substations, 2 logistics warehouses, 2 FPV drone control points, 1 fuel & lubricants storage facility, 1 gas distribution station, 1 Ukrainian Army temporary deployment point, and 1 locomotive.

Russian FPV drones struck 14 more Ukrainian petrol stations and 6 more fuel storage tanks.

The target of yesterday's Russian Iskander-M ballistic missile strike on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was a train reportedly transporting equipment for the Ukrainian military in the town of Vyshneve, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Russian Geran-4 jet-drone strike on an industrial building in the city of Okhtyrka, Sumy Oblast, reportedly being used by Ukraine to assembly engines for drones.

Ukrainian GUR FPV drones struck a Russian Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile launcher and a military crane in Crimea.

The drones were launched by MAGURA V5 sea-drones from the waters of the Black Sea.

Russia may carry out an attack on Odesa Oblast using Oniks supersonic cruise missiles launched from Crimea in the coming hours.

Another ballistic missile attack on Kyiv occurred tonight.

Approximately 8 Iskander-M ballistic missiles were launched simultaneously from OTRK installations northwest of Klintsy, Bryansk Oblast.

All 8 missiles impacted the same target, with, once again, no signs of any Patriot air defence activity. The target hit was the "Asphalt concrete plant" in southern Kyiv, where a large fire subsequently broke out.

This location was struck by several Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles and Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles on August 1.

This facility was previously targeted by everal Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles and Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles on August 1.

As I warned, yesterday afternoon, Russia launched 3 Oniks supersonic cruise missiles at the Yuzhnyi Port in Odesa Oblast.

Strikes were also carried out on Odesa City with at least 3 Banderol jet-drones, as well as more cargo ships in the western Black Sea with Geran-4 jet-drones.

Tonight, Ukraine made another attempt at attacking Russia with FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles, however, once again, they were all shot down by Russian air defence.

Ukraine launched at least 5 Flamingo cruise missiles from Sumy/Chernihiv Oblast, which were subsequently shot down over Tambov and Penza Oblasts, ~430 km and ~630 km from the border with Ukraine respectively.

Due to the previous attempts at having the missiles fly along the Don River from Luhansk Oblast failing, Ukraine launched them from a different location, reaching the Don River via Lipetsk Oblast. Because these missiles are so large and slow, they need to fly at low altitude near rivers to complicate Russian radar detection.

Because they were flying for around 280 km through Kursk and Voronezh Oblasts prior to reaching the Don River, it provided Russia with ample opportunity to detect them, which resulted in much earlier alerts being issued for all border regions as soon as the missiles approached/entered Russian airspace. Despite the missiles then following the path of the Voronezh River, they were all subsequently shot down by Russian air defence over Tambov and Penza Oblast, likely because Russia has deployed a significant number of air defence assets to this area due to Ukraine repeatedly using this same flight route.

Out of the last 10 Flamingo attacks, 8 resulted in all the missiles being shot down, while two resulted in one impact each to the same target in Kirov. Russia is clearly adapting rapidly to this new weapon, and unless Ukraine can counter-adapt, Flamingo missiles quickly become useless.

Another example of a "wonder weapon" becoming less and less important as countermeasures are developed.

Bloomberg reports that Ukraine has agreed to stop targeting certain oil tankers and Black Sea port infrastructure used for exporting Kazakhstan's crude oil.

The agreement reportedly only involves vessels not under Ukrainian sanctions, that don't carry Russian cargo, and that aren't owned by any Russian individuals/entities.

"Ukraine has set up points of contact to allow commercial shippers to communicate information and ensure safe passage", Bloomberg reported.
