I think it's safe to say that this is the largest escalation since the beginning of the so-called memorandum of understanding.

The U.S. carried out over 140 airstrikes on Iran, while Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles and drones towards targets in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and possibly the UAE, while striking a second vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran is proving to the U.S. that it will not back down in the face of American escalation, and furthermore, will escalate in kind by launching much larger attacks than last time.

Even if, hypothetically, every single Iranian missile and drone was shot down, the message remains the same, and U.S. interceptor missile stockpiles continue to be drained. The threat of escalation is Iran's biggest advantage, especially as Trump continues to wage this prolonged and incredibly unpopular quagmire of a war that cannot be won, and continues to humiliate the U.S. and Israel on the world stage.

The next level of escalation for Iran is pre-emptive strikes. Because they know that the U.S. will attack Iran again in the future with essentially 100% certainty, I would not be surprised if we see some sort of attack ahead of an expected U.S. strike as a show of force.

Two Russian operator-controlled Geran-2 drones struck a gas distribution station near the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast.

Overnight, Russia carried out another large-scale missile and drone attack on port infrastructure in the city of Chornomorsk, Odesa Oblast.

~15 missiles were used in total including 13 Kh-59/69 cruise missiles and 2 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles.

7-8 Kh-59/69 cruise missiles were shot down by NASAMS/IRIS-T air defence systems, which were deployed to Chornomorsk yesterday due to the repeated Russian missile and drone attacks.

2 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles impacted a target near the town of Dachne, while 5-6 Kh-59/69 cruise missiles impacted Chornomorsk Port. The launches were carried out in two waves using Su-34s and Su-57s, covered by Su-35s. Geran-2/3/4 drones also took part in the attacks.

The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed that the strikes targeted port infrastructure used for unloading and storing military cargo and fuel, as well as Ukrainian navy vessels and ferries that transported the military equipment.

Russia has massively ramped up their strikes on port infrastructure in Odesa Oblast in recent days, using cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, jet-drones, and Geran-2 drones. So far, Pivdenne Port, Chornomorsk Port, and Izmail Port have been the primary targets.
