Aerial view of Ukraine's new Verkhnya Tersa line, the next north-south line that the Russian Huljajpole-Ternuvate offensive will need to overcome after the similar current Haichur River line to continue further to Orikhiv and Zaporizhzhia from the east.

In particular, the Russians will need to overcome the following:

As you can see, engineering obstacles coupled with natural obstacles can form, if used correctly, formidable defensive nodes and can make the difference between a collapse and a stabilization.
Furthermore, here a Russian recon drone was hit while going back to friendly lines, which, together with a lot more, hints at the fact that the Russians know extremely well about those lines and that such mapping work does not expose any secret information whatsoever.

Earlier today, the IDF announced the death of a Staff Sergeant of the 77th Armoured Battalion of the 7th Armoured Brigade, who was killed in fighting with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
During this incident, 2 other soldiers were lightly injured.
This brings the total confirmed Israeli casualties since the beginning of the war to 4 killed and 20 injured.

The Ukrainian winter offensive: Between the 70 square kilometers reported by the most pro-Russian sources & the 400 square kilometers cited by Zelensky, Suriyakmaps’ estimate stands at 283 square kilometers. 🇺🇦🇷🇺
Taking advantage of temporary Russian communications issues (primarily the blocking of Starlink for Russian troops), Ukrainian army has made significant advances since late January, managing to reverse some of the Russian gains made during the fall of 2025 on the Pokrovskaya, Velikomikhailovskaya & Huliaipole fronts. These gains have been greater after connecting with isolated Ukrainian troops due to the rapid Russian advance during those months, which has forced the Russian command to withdraw from several locations to avoid a loss of material & human resources in territory that had not been fully consolidated.

According to my estimations, Ukraine recaptured and still holds approximately 288 km², which is almost identical to Suriyak's estimation of around 283 km².
This number is very different to most Pro-Russian estimates of around 70 km² and most Pro-Ukrainian estimates of over 400 km².

As for settlements, Ukrainian forces managed to recapture/clear and still hold a total of 19 villages, and contest another 10 (including ones that were recaptured that Russia has since re-entered).
Russian forces have been able to recapture a total of 3 previously lost settlements.
These include settlements that Russia either didn't fully hold or hadn't completed the consolidation process in.

In the evening, 2-3 Russian Geran-2 drones attacked the Chernihiv-North Railway Station in Chernihiv City.
As a result of the strikes, damage was recorded to a ChME3-1063 train parked at the station.

Overnight, Russia carried out a combined attack on rear areas of Kharkiv Oblast with Tornado-S rockets, KAB glide-bombs, and Geran-2 drones.
Tornado-S rockets and other MLRS (such as BM-27 Uragan) struck targets in the Lyptsi and Tsyrkuny areas, as well as in the Kyivskyi District of Kharkiv City.
Geran-2 drones attacked targets in the Novobavarskyi and Pyatykhatky Districts of Kharkiv City, the cities of Lozova, Balakliya, Chuhuiv, and Zlatopil, as well as the town of Bezliudivka.
At least 7 KAB glide-bombs struck targets between the village of Oskil and the city of Izyum.
The attached videos show KAB strikes east of Izyum.
