Here’s what you need to know:
1️⃣ This $1.00THB is a holding fee that will be charged to your account whenever you tap into Bangkok’s MRT 🚟
2️⃣ This pre-authorised charge is used to check whether your card has sufficient balance before your rides but it is NOT your final fare 🙅♀️
3️⃣ The $1.00THB amount will be reversed to your account within 2 to 3 days
4️⃣ Your actual MRT fare will then be charged according to the rate taken on that day
