WordPress to IPFS Publishing Programs Provided - Open Source
Several of the IPFS publishing shell (Linux batch) programs are now linked under their IPFS Websites Directory listings. Change IPFS publishing key and run to publish the websites yourself. Learn from these examples how to publish other websites on IPFS.
The ppmSilver publishing program is provided as an example of how much simpler publishing an HTML site is, compared to WordPress.

Support your favorite IPFS websites by pinning them to your IPFS node/strong> with the new information provided at the bottom of IPFS Websites Directory

No New WordPress Sites, PLEASE, if you intend on publishing to IPFS
Too easy to make it difficult for converting to HTML compatible with IPFS.
Also, each publish creates all new pages which will consume your IPFS node capacity.
HTML editors include BlueFish, MS Expression Web 4 (old version) and DreamWeaver

Ramiro Romani's Above-Agency.com provides website to IPFS turnkey solutions
He uses CMS (content management solutions) like solutions, similar to WordPress, except the pages are static HTML. Only those which are actually changed or new are uploaded to IPFS. These solution tools include: Gatsby, Hugo, Jekyll and others.

Ether-1 isn't ready for prime time use as a tool for publishing websites to IPFS. Rather complicated compared to tools I'm using now.

Don't Use Brave Browser for IPFS
It's IPFS integration is flawed by using public gateways which can be blocked. Plus, it complicates use of IPFS Companion. Instead, use IPFS Companion with FireFox or Chromium based browsers. The latter may require you to install from chrome web store. Both also require IPFS Desktop to be installed and running in the background, providing a local gateway directly to the distributed network through your own network node.

WordPress Content Importing Challenges
Access to archives is a big problem for some sites on IPFS. Archive drop-down boxes rarely work after importing. Archives in date lists often also don't work. Continuations to the next page at the bottom of pages are also often dysfunctional. Here's how to test for a problem like this:
1) Select the link and see if the URL address changes to a page ending in html or htm.
2) If not, back up to the prior page and right click on a blank space in the page.
3) In the pop-up menu, select page source which will open in a new window.
4) Return to the web page selected in step 1
5) In the browser menu select, save page as.
6) Copy the page name which appears as the default.
7) Search for that page in the page source source code opened earlier.
Note: files named index.html will be ok, even if they don't appear in the page
8) If that search finds nothing, the link to it is at high risk of not being recognized during the site import to html and probably won't be in the IPFS site.

This helps to assure the IPFS Websites Directory is accessible, even if its source node is attacked and a blank site published to the IPNS address. The program to pin and republish Web3Only with IPFS Website Directory on your own node is now available. It will require one edit of this text file before running it the first time which is explained in the program's internal documentation. The IPNS address can then be listed as a mirror for Web3Only with the directory.
Even better, you can copy the IPFS Website Directory into your own website published on IPFS, including contact info for additions. That site's IPNS address can then be mutually listed in all IPFS Website Directories for more robustness and another way to add sites.
Please link the IPFS Websites Directory on your website and ask people to share for bookmarking.

I've arrived at the recognition that it's far better to divide the migration of websites to ipfs into 2 parts, because it's far easier and more stable.

First wordpress must be eliminated from the equation, because it's the cause of the solution instability due to their many incompatible options for webmasters and WP software changes. The solution for wordpress sites is conversion to a static html CMS (content management sysyem). @Matthew_Raymer has already done this for clients using Gatsby. It should also be possible with Hugo or Jekyl also. There are other people out there with the skills to start doing this also.

The website html can then be easily uploaded to IPFS and published to a static IPNS address without any server side processing. This protects the website's content from nearly all blocking methods. Access and pinning will improve access speed for other nodes. Public gateways like ipfs.io and dweb.link may be disappeared at the domain level.

Any necessary interactivity, like comments, stores, etc can be included from another source displayed within static pages on IPFS. Interactive content links may be blocked more easily, but as an acceptable loss during an attack.

Liberty websites who cling to wordpress are dooming themselves to conversion difficulties and likely website oblivion when They Them Those decide it's time.

The IPFS Websites Directory (links below) has been updated. Most of the linked websites' IPFS versions are being published somewhat regularly. I don't know how much they're being accessed to seed across the network, or being pinned other nodes someplace. So, they may be slow loading and a few may be unresponsive, like LewRockwell.com and TheSurvivalPodcast.com at this time. You accessing or pinning them will help.

Due to frequent public gateway access issues, each listing in the IPFS Websites Directory (see links above) now has links using both ipfs.io and dweb.link.
Hopefully, people will will setup their own IPFS node and enable a browser with IPFS companion to access the sites directly with the ipns:// links.

PREPARING FOR LIBERTY DOMAIN BLOCKAGES

You should have the LBRY app from LBRY.com installed to bypass Odyssey.com domain blocking. It can be used to view and publish. Don't put the app on any device where privacy is a high priority, because LBRY app includes several trackers.

Also, people need an IPFS local node/gateway installed on a PC. This enables accessing/publishing of content direct from/to IPFS distributed network to avoid domain blocking of public gateways like ipfs.io. The easiest way is to download IPFS Desktop from ipfs.io and install using all the defaults. Then you need a browser that can access ipfs content through your local gateway. It may be necessary to add the IPFS Companion extension/plugin to your browser. Brave browser tends to use public gateways, instead of using your local gateway. With your local node running, make sure the site URL in the browser does not begin with IPFS.io or include dweb.link after the hash. Be sure to bookmark the IPFS Websites Directory at the following URL which will work on a browser setup as described above

Unfortunately, only a few of the sites listed are capable publishing direct to IPFS. The Web3Only Podcast at

will be one of them with info about others publishing direct to IPFS. Let me know of any sites on IPFS which need to be added to the list.

All the above needs to be in place before the public gateway domains are blocked. After that it may be very difficult to do so.
