i wrote a thread about making support for your bootstrapped SaaS.
tl;dr:
make your own support. it boosts users' loyalty. and therefore the growth.
be careful to not connect to them too much. keep a distance.

if you are bootstrapping SaaS consider doing the support by yourself.
it is an extremely efficient growth channel. so efficient i was relying mostly on it alone while growing my SaaS to $16K MRR

This is why Iβd never hire people in my SaaS again
I had the experience of hiring 4 people (and firing 2 of them) in my bootstrapped SaaS. Sometimes it was OK, sometimes β awful, sometimes β AMAZING.

Guide: get first 100 upvotes on Product Hunt
The new video is about getting 100 upvotes for your first Product Hunt launch.
This simple guide works even if you do not have audience, followers and money.

I felt really down after my Twitter ban βΉοΈ.
Finally, with John's help, I figured out how to navigate it, and it started working out for the first time since 2016. I set my sights on success and bought three Twitter courses to get retweets from their creators.
My motivation was strong, and I even started planning my entire day around Twitter. But it seems like the ban is permanent, which is sad.
To regain my motivation, I had to go for a run in the park without headphones a couple of times and do some serious thinking. Here are the positive aspects I extracted from my ban:
1) I'll hype up my ban and attract people from the Fediverse community.
2) No Twitter means no vanity metrics and no dopamine spikes. These two things were seriously hindering my productivity. It's pure poison for getting work done. Instead of spending five hours on a great post, ten hours on a video, or eighty hours on a product, I was spending five minutes on a tweet and immediately getting the hormones. After getting 20 likes, I didn't feel like creating, coming up with ideas, or solving tasks anymore. Plus, checking likes was distracting from work.
3) No focus on Twitter means a focus on other directions. Diversification will be beneficial for the MarsX network. Everyone here is using Twitter only to promote their projects. It's risky and severely limits a mindset.
4) I'll do what I used to do before, what worked flawlessly for six years in a row, what I'm good at and love doing. Building products!
5) To start coding, I'll finally start learning MarsX. I'll contribute to MarsX IDE and other micro-apps. I'll migrate Unicorn Platform to Mars. I've wanted to do this for a long time, but I was too lazy to learn MarsX.
6) I don't like tweets. I like posts. Posts are easier to turn into stories. Posts are easier to turn into videos. Removing tweets adds more space for meaty posts and stories.
7) Hacking Twitter algorithms was interesting. I'll continue having fun with it on YouTube.
8) I'll put a bet on Product Hunt through launching products and making posts there. I already know four people from their staff. I had a video call with their product manager. They were retweeting me many times. So, it's not so risky to invest my efforts there. The chance of getting banned is minimal. I have a feeling that even if I (theoretically!) start spamming there, they won't ban me or will quickly unban me upon request.
9) Right now, "build in public" is gaining momentum. I used to excel at this before, until Unicorn Platform turned into routine for me, and there was nothing to write about. I'll return to "build in public," but now with not just one project but with a dozen of them! There will be something new to showcase in the "build in public" way every day. Every month will bring a new launch.
Nevertheless, Twitter is too sweet to completely ignore, so:
10) I'll tweet about new projects from the MarsX Twitter account. I'll experiment with the bio, avatar, and name. I want to turn this account into a hub, a center of attraction for makers and the community. People will tag @marsxdev, and their "build in public" reports, questions, or small wins will appear in the feeds of everyone who follows the MarsX account.
11) Tweets about my work at Unicorn Platform will go on the Unicorn account. Reports about our experiments in advertising and AI SEO were well-received. I think I'll post them on the Unicorn Twitter. Why not? It aligns with our transparency policy, it's interesting to our users, and it's retweetable.
P.S.: I wrote this more for myself, to look at this wall of text and regain motivation π but I think many of you will find it interesting.
P.P.S.: In case you missed it, my Twitter account was suspended for active replying in DMs: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/i-was-permanently-banned-in-twitter-f8fb060c24
