Alhamdulillah, a beautiful 5-day weekend trip visiting our teachers, and obtaining a portion of the Prophetic inheritance اللهم تقبل وبارك وزد.

We traveled to 4 different cities for almost 40 hours, with much hardship along the way. But all of that was forgotten once we sat under the feet of our scholars & were surrounded by the Angels & the righteous. Wallahi there is an obsession, & thirst for knowledge that can never be satisfied. This trip was a reminder of the hardships in this dunya and the sweetness one will taste at the end. May Allah bless us all with this bounty.

Below are just a few summarized benefits from each city.

We commenced our travels to the city of al-Hufof, al-Ahsaa (12 hours) to attend an explanation of Usul al-Iman & Usul Itiqaad by our Sh. Fahd al-Fuhayd حفظه الله.

Some Benefits:

- Among the distinguishing features of the works authored by Shaykhul Islam Muhammad b. Abdil-Wahhab رحمه الله:

1. It is drived only from the Quran, Sunnah, & narrations of the Salaf.
2. His works are written in a clear and succinct manner; people of all levels and ages can understand his works.
3. He prioritizes the essential aspects of knowledge. If anyone wants to begin studying the foundations of the deen, they would find it in his works.

-Allah never oppresses anyone. Even the kuffar who performed charitable acts & helped others are rewarded, but only in the dunya with fame and recognition. This shows the deciding factor of someone being upon the truth is not just simply performing good deeds and helping others - this is also done by the Kuffar - instead it is how well someone adheres to the Revelation with the proper understanding.

-Some assume the Quran is not suitable as evidence against atheists, and that we need new modern tactics to address current issues. The Shaykh said this is pure ignorance. The Quran was revealed from its beginning to its end addressing atheism, polytheism & everything that opposes this straight path until the Day of Judgement. The issue lies in the people's weak understanding of Allah's Speech. He then gave multiple examples of how Allah uses intellectual evidences in the Quran. Ex. Surah Tur & Jubayr b. Mut'im رضي الله عنه.

-Every atheist worships something, whether they realize it or not (e.g. their desires, their wealth, idols, people, etc.).

Many believe Fir'awn was an atheist, but in reality he was a closeted polytheist. In Surah al-Araaf: 127 Allah said,

"The chiefs of Pharaoh’s people protested, “Are you going to leave Moses and his people free to spread corruption in the land and abandon you and your gods?”

"And your gods" i.e. deities he used to worship. So despite him proclaiming he was Allah, he worshipped idols.

There were many more benefits, but it would make this post much more lengthier.

We then visited our Sh. Ahmad al-Quaymi حفظه الله, who lived in the same area, and is one of the leading Hanbali scholars of our time.

After that we headed to the city of Shaqra (6 hrs from al-Ahsaa) for a new class taught by our Sh. Abdus-Salaam ash-Shuway'ir حفظه الله on the etiquette of walking to the Masjid by Al-Mujaddid.

On the way, we passed by the city of Huraymila & visited the masjid that Shaykhul Islam Muhammad b. Abdul-Wahhab رحمه الله would teach his classes in.

Once we reached Shaqra, we were met by this collosal masjid al-Muhanna that looked like a palace and certainly reminded us of Jannah.

As always, gems were flowing from Sh. Abdus-Salaam حفظه الله's mouth. I'm not able to share all here, but a benefit was a narration he shared: whoever Allah wants good for, He uses them in goodness.

After the obligations, some are given the success to pray optional salawat, while others are given the success to voluntarily fast, and others are able to donate, etc.

Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه was given success to perform various righteous deeds consistently, and thus all of the gates of Jannah will be opened for him (we ask Allah to make us from them).

From the greatest voluntary deeds one can be engaged in is seeking knowledge, as it is the means of having all gates opened for them.

The Shaykh then reminded us of the virtues of seeking knowledge & traveling for it, and that we are rewarded from the moment we leave our house until we return. Every riyaal spent for this purpose, one is rewarded greatly with Allah.

After the class, we headed towards Dammam (6 hours) to attend another conference on the Rites of Hajj authored by ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله & taught by our Sh. Ali ash-Shibl حفظه الله.

Some Benefits: - It is not recommended to performed multiple Umrahs in 1 trip as it was not the practice of the Salaf.

-Which is better: Umrah in Ramadan or during the months of Hajj? It is the latter because the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم made 4 Umrahs & all of them were in Dhul Qa'dah.

-It is permissible to not specify the type of Hajj one performs and instead intend to perform the same Hajj of another. For example if a group leader or company intends a specific Hajj (Mutamatti' Qiran, or Ifrad) The followers can intend to follow their lead without specifying for themselves. This is referred to as al-Ihraam al-Mubham.

-The Talbiyyah is done as one is moving from one place to another, not when you are settled in a place.

-Menses & postpartum bleeding does not prevent entering into the state of Ihram. It only prevents making tawwaf as it relates to Hajj. A woman can enter into Ihram in that state, & make sa'yee as it is outside of al-Masjid al-Haram. This is due to the statement to Aisha رضي الله عنها

"You should perform all that a pilgrim would do, except Tawwaf until you are pure" Agreed.

Alhamdulillah a fruitful experience. May Allah accept all of our efforts and grant us success to continue upon goodness until we meet Him. May Allah grant us all Al-Firdous al-Ala without punishment nor reckoning. I hope this motivated you in your own studies, may Allah grant you all success.
