The United Nation's International Court of Justice (ICJ), like the UN itself, is biased and dominated by the Western colonial powers.

South Africa's case accusing Israel of genocide is very strong, laying out in devastating detail the blatant calls for genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza by top Israeli officials.

But the sad reality is that ICJ rulings are driven by politics, not facts.

The ICJ has 15 judges from the following countries:

South Africa's case would need 8 votes from those judges, and is unlikely to get them, as the US government is going to aggressively lobby the other members to vote against the case, or to at least abstain.

Given their geopolitical orientation and UN votes, it is essentially guaranteed that the US, Germany, France, Australia, India, Japan, and Slovakia will vote against South Africa's ICJ case, or abstain. That is 7 of 15.

This means all 8 other members would have to vote for it, which is unlikely.

It would of course be nice if the ICJ actually ruled based on facts, but politics is in command. And the international political/judicial order is still deeply colonial.
