💫 December 3rd was the International Disability Day. 💫
As a reminder that we tend to take for granted what we deem normal, while for others it is something they fight for every single day of their lives...
📃 This year's theme was Inclusivity and Equality.
📍Inclusivity.
Make people feel included and part of the action of co creating. Co creation is a strong community principle in which we join hands and contribute collectively to accomplishing our goals.
Inclusivity means everyone is welcomed to join. As opposed to exclusivity, which labels as a perk, a special club, a filtered interaction.
📍Equality.
Equality in opportunities in chances. All people should have access to an opportunity for a better life. A better system. A better experience.
We, the team at Aimedis, believe inclusivity and equality are two strong points in the healthcare system as well. Everyone should have equal chances of receiving medical aid. Better healthcare isn't an exclusive club, even if today it appears to be one. Inclusivity is key to achieving better quality of life, ensuring we don't push a person, disable or not, to have to fight to make it through Today. Instead, it should push people to aim for a more positive everyday experience.
We're going to continue with this theme of Inclusiveness and Equality in the next year, as well, here at Aimedis, as well as in our personal lives.
Just wanted to share these thoughts with you all.

🧐 As part of the "Aimedis Second Opinion" initiative, Patients can now connect with online doctors to receive a second opinion on their medical condition, check-up, results, and more.
📌 How to receive your 2nd Opinion?
Step 1. Go to https://secondopinion.aimedis.com
Step 2. Insert the code (it is a code that starts with 4, and ends with 8. It is a code made of nine numbers).
Step 3. Click Start Videochat.
Step 4. Enjoy a second opinion provided by the available doctor.
The current version supports 3 people. For example:
1 x doctor,
1 x patient,
1 x translator.
📌 The video consult chat option WORKS on:
* iPad
* Desktop
* Mobile.
With up to 3 participants (doctor, patient, translator).

A $2 Million Drug Is About to Hit the Market
A new treatment for an infant muscle-wasting disease is about to go on sale at a potential cost of $2 million, a record price tag likely to fuel the continuing scrutiny of how drugs are priced and how insurers pay.
Today we launched the quality management and certification tool AIMEDIS QM and the Aimedis Intensive Care Unit tool ICU.

The app will ask for permission to share location so it can give you the best options. In emergency scenarios, this small app can help save lives, time, and reduce costs.
The QM app stands for quality management. Company customers using Aimedis QM module (customers include hospitals, practices, pharmaceutical companies, research facilites and pharmacies) are being given the option to run their staff through any certification by granting all required documents, procedures and guidelines in real time and in a direct communication with auditors and team leaders.
