Age Well SG underscores Singapore's commitment to prioritising preventive healthcare, especially with the ageing demographic. Mr. Wong unveiled a substantial allocation of S$3.5 billion towards initiatives within the Age Well SG framework, aimed at empowering seniors for active ageing.
These initiatives encompass the expansion of Active Ageing Centers, diversification of programs, introduction of assisted living choices like Community Care Apartments, enhancement of senior-friendly infrastructure in neighbourhoods including sheltered linkways, pedestrian-friendly roads, and bus stops with features tailored to seniors' needs.
