Credit Rating

It aims to show whether a person or a company will be able to repay their loans on time or not.
It is determined according to a person or company’s loan repayment history and income level.
Lenders like banks, institutional investors, etc use credit rating to decide the loan amount that could be safely given to a borrower.
Higher credit rating = higher loan eligibility of the borrower.
In India, credit rating agencies are regulated by SEBI.
