Serra HĂșnter Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies of the University of Girona (UdG) and director of the Chair of the Observatory of Ethics in Artificial Intelligence of Catalonia. Since he published his doctoral thesis on the treatment of biases in massive population data, he collaborates and advises different international organizations and committees such as the Economic and Social Research Council of the United Kingdom or UNESCO through the Inclusion Policy Lab. He is currently the principal investigator of the Spanish case study of the international project Artificial Intelligence for Assessment (AI FORA), which investigates the use of artificial intelligence in the provision of social services worldwide and its impact on vulnerable populations.
