He promised to be their God and to take care of them. All that He asked in return is that they keep the covenant and obey and love Him (Genesis 17:7-9). But they often failed to do so. Time and again they deserted God to worship idols, even though He remained faithful to them and forgave them every time. When you become a Christian, it means that God destined you to be His child, even before He created the world. It is always God who takes the initiative: “Before I was born the Lord called me; from my birth He has made mention of my name,” the prophet Isaiah says in (Isaiah 49:1). Paul writes that God has chosen His children, “in Him before the creation of the world to be Holy and blameless in His sight.” (Ephesians 1:4)God chose you long ago, even before you were born, and invited you to belong to Him. Faith is believing God and accepting His invitation. So remember, God chose you for His special plan and purposes. As you yield, you will see it unfold.“Heavenly Father, it is wonderful that You chose me to belong to You even before I was born. Thank You that I was able to accept Your invitation in Jesus Name, Amen.” – Faith Centre International
