That their current life is an major obstacle to fight and prevail together so in their next life's they can have a more easily flow in meeting and living happily with no major obstacles. They met in an unfortunate accident in their first life but lived happily and well until it ended in tragedy. Their current life they met in a fortunate way but later became struggling after they're meeting. How it ends idk as it's ongoing but if ends happily, then to me that means they overcame together and in whatever upcoming life's they have, they will be at least more easily going.
