Good question akhdfjkhf i had to give it a good think I think it's a popular one but I really love the headcanon that Lyney really lets himself go around Wriothesley - like he doesn't put on any of the act for him, whether it's because he doesn't like him at first or because he just knows Wrio has seen the worst of him already anyway, and he's still there!! This kind of feeds into the hc that Lyney really only lets a few people 'take care' of him, just his family and Wriothesley in my mind. He's one of those people that just gets where Lyney's motives come from, and so even when they're at their worst he can let his guard down enough to be spoiled a little. This is why I love the romantically tending wounds trope for them because they both would go to one another to avoid worrying others but really it's because they know the other will understand, without judgement, and if they have to hurt they'd want to hurt with them. I also am a firm visually impaired/blind wrio believer, so I like to drop that into my wrioney too, like maybe lyney is one of the few people that knows but he's long since given up trying to take advantage of it for any of his little plans - and he can't, anyway, because Wriothesley is always 5 steps ahead of whatever he's doing lmao and he's always helping him out with little things without ever mentioning it. little tidbits are: they're both fans of piercings so they like each others or get them together; i think wrio falls first but lyney falls harder; i think lyney has less but more overt jealous moments while wrio has more of them but in calmer ways - think silent treatment or an argument vs silently grabbing his waist in public; i think wrio is secretly a good dancer and when lyney is down or mad he'll give him a little twirl and a dip out of nowhere and make him laugh with how silly it is. 🥺
