How do you introduce your spouse/partner/significant other in your language without calling them by their role name as spouse/partner/significant other? or do you simply say 'this is my wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend/anything without adding their name? I do introduce my girlfriend just by her name without mentioning our type of relationship. Which sometimes seems to be regarded as misleading or unfriendly at times.
