🇺🇸🇪🇺The EU could lose billions: the pharmaceutical, auto and aviation industries of the Union are under attack due to Trump's threat of 50% tariffs, The Financial Times reports.
The FT writes that Trump's new trade tariff threat could deal a serious blow to key EU industries such as:
– pharmaceuticals (€80 billion in exports to the US in 2024) – the EU warns of a shortage of medicines and a “catastrophe” for the industry;
– the automotive industry (€39 billion) – increasing duties will make exports unprofitable, especially for brands that do not produce in the US;
- aircraft manufacturing - both Boeing and Airbus rely on global supply chains, and new tariffs could increase costs.
The total damage to the EU economy from 50% tariffs could reach 0.5% of GDP, the publication writes.
It is noted that the EU exported goods worth €530 billion to the US in 2024 – more than 20% of all external sales.

What we have as of now:
9 Tu-95MS strategic bombers which just conducted launch maneuvers.
3 Tu-160 strategic bombers which conducted launch maneuvers.
2 Su-57s approaching their launch lines.
7 Kalibr carriers in the Black sea (total possible salvo of 36 kalibrs)
And the obvious continued threat of Iskander activity and subsequent launches.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Ukrainian channels claim Russia is using a new, more coordinated strike tactic during nighttime attacks.
According to them, a large number of drones maneuver over the city at varying altitudes to distract and confuse air defenses. While these drones are in the air, Russian forces reportedly launch ballistic missiles and send in Shahed drones flying at lower altitudes—around 1,000 meters—to overwhelm Ukrainian defenses.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Western Frontline Journalists Banned Amid Russian Drone Dominance – The Times
According to The Times, Ukrainian forces have stopped allowing journalists near frontline positions due to the overwhelming effectiveness of Russian drones.
Previously, some Ukrainian brigades granted media access to combat zones. Now, even Ukrainian troops themselves are struggling to reach their own positions safely, making media visits nearly impossible.
Most Western outlets have ceased sending reporters within 15 kilometers of the front. Ukrainian soldiers increasingly refuse to escort journalists, fearing casualties from constant Russian drone and artillery strikes.
Two years ago, Irina Rybakova, press officer of Ukraine’s 93rd Brigade, organized hundreds of media trips to the front. Today, such trips are nearly nonexistent.

🇷🇺🇸🇾 Militants Claim Responsibility for Attack on Russian Airbase in Syria
On May 20, the terrorist group calling itself “Saraya Burkan al-Furat” (Euphrates Volcano Brigades) claimed responsibility for an attack on the Russian Hmeimim meimim Airbase in Syria.
According to their public statement, two of their fighters were killed during the assault. Both were reportedly former members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s special unit known as the “Red Bands.”
The group issued a direct threat to Russia, demanding its withdrawal from Syria within one month. They vowed further attacks on Russian military positions if their ultimatum is ignored. “Russian occupiers must leave our land or we will send your headless bodies home,” the group declared.
Formed in November last year, Saraya Burkan al-Furat emerged with the stated goal of resisting Russian and Iranian influence in Syria. Following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad, the group refused to submit to the new defense ministry led by Ahmad al-Shaar, rejecting integration into the new military structure.
