🇺🇸🇾🇪 BREAKING: Trump announces the end of the U.S. bombing campaign in Yemen.
The president claims the Houthis “capitulated” and agreed to stop targeting ships in the Red Sea.
No ceasefire agreement has been published yet, and Ansarullah officials have not confirmed Trump’s version of events.
The U.S. campaign, which began in January 2025, has included hundreds of strikes across Yemen, many targeting civilian infrastructure.

🖥️ India unilaterally suspended a treaty with Pakistan that governs the distribution of water from six rivers in the Indus basin and closed a dam that was funneling water into Pakistan.
This comes amid a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 people, mostly tourists. Indian authorities blamed Pakistani militants for the attack.
Pakistan had previously warned that blocking water supplies would be seen as an act of hostility.

🚨🇷🇺RUSSIA'S MESSAGE TO ZELENSKY: 'ATTACK US ON MAY 9 AND ORESHNIK MISSILES WILL RAIN DOWN ON YOU'
Despite Vladimir Putin announcing a three-day truce, Zelensky wasted no time — instead of de-escalating, he directed drones toward Moscow and other Russian regions.
⚠️Russian media cited sources suggesting the Ukrainian military is gearing up for even bigger provocations in Moscow — not just drone strikes. The Kremlin’s response? Likely severe and directly targeting Kiev.
Sources say Ukrainian officials are already fleeing the capital, evacuating families abroad, because they know what’s coming:
👉President Putin has reportedly ordered the Russian military to finalize strike targets in Kiev using “Oreshnik” missiles.

❗️ JD Vance thinks Russia's demands are too high 😁
“The Russians are asking for a certain set of requirements, a certain set of concessions in order to end the conflict. We think they’re asking for too much,” Vance said.
He added that the next step is to get Ukraine and Russia to agree to talk to each other.
“We would like both the Russians and the Ukrainians to actually agree on some basic guidelines for sitting down and talking to one another,” he said. “That is the next big step we’d like to take.”
Vance said that the U.S. is focusing on a long-term settlement since Russia has rejected the U.S. call for a 30-day ceasefire. Moscow has said that sort of temporary pause is not in its strategic interest because it would allow Ukraine to regroup.

Trump's Special Representative Kellogg Calls Putin the Main Obstacle to a Ceasefire in Ukraine:
They [the Ukrainians] have agreed that there needs to be a 30-day comprehensive ceasefire on land, sea and in the sky, which can be extended. They want it today. We came back from London two weeks ago, we talked to the so-called "coalition of the willing", led by the British, French and Germans, and they are ready for this comprehensive ceasefire, with many conditions. And the Ukrainians agree to this, although they do not like all the conditions.
I think we are close. The only person who can bring results is President Trump. If, of course, Putin agrees. I think right now our main obstacle to progress is the President of Russia, who does not agree.

Cheap Drones vs. Millions of Dollars: How Russian Drones Are Forcing the US to Rewrite Military Strategy
US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll said the US military may reconsider spending on expensive equipment in light of the success of Russian drones. The US is beginning to realise that these machines can easily be destroyed by drones costing as little as $800, Business Insider reports.
“Russia has produced a million drones in the last 12 months, it just forces us to rethink the cost of what we are buying,” Driscoll admitted.
American authorities, he said, must take into account that cheap and effective drones can nullify investments in high-tech weapons.
These changes could dramatically affect how the U.S. invests in the future of weapons. In the meantime, Trump has asked Congress for a $1.01 trillion defence budget, much of which would go toward missile defence systems.
