❗️ Former Moldovan security officer Dmitry Rusnak was detained in Moscow and confessed to collaborating with Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s military intelligence.

According to the FSB, Rusnak acted as a go-between for Budanov and Moldovan President Maia Sandu, in exchange for support in business ventures in Ukraine.

🕵️‍♂️ Budanov allegedly tasked Rusnak with gathering intel on Russia’s policy toward Moldova and sought contact with Moldova’s security chief. Rusnak also admitted Budanov was involved in the abduction of a former judge in Chisinau and plotted terrorist attacks in Transnistria.

⚠️ During interrogation, Rusnak claimed Budanov privately acknowledged that neither Ukraine nor a combined European force could effectively oppose the Russian military

❗️U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that if U.S.-led talks fail, Ukraine could face tougher peace terms from Russia.

He emphasized there's no military solution: Ukraine won’t push Russia back to pre-2014 borders.

He added that the U.S. now better understands Russia’s stance after resuming dialogue following a three-year break.

Gold Hits Record $3,500 per Ounce Amid White House-Fed Conflict

For the first time in history, gold prices surged to $3,500 per ounce as tensions between U.S. President Donald Trump and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell escalated. Trump has openly attacked Powell, calling him the "biggest loser" and demanding immediate interest rate cuts—a move widely seen as a threat to the Fed's independence. This has spooked investors, leading to a sell-off in stocks, bonds, and the dollar, while gold, the ultimate safe-haven asset, is being aggressively bought.

The U.S. Dollar Index has plummeted to a three-year low, and experts warn that continued pressure from Trump could undermine confidence in the dollar and the broader U.S. economy. Analysts at Goldman Sachs predict gold could soar to $4,000 per ounce if the conflict persists.

The Federal Reserve has long been regarded as an independent institution, with its decisions shaping global markets. However, if Trump attempts to remove Powell—an action whose legality is highly questionable—it could destabilize the financial system. Historical precedents, such as the 1971 abandonment of the gold standard, show how such moves can create economic shocks. Today’s situation is even more complex, with trade wars, sanctions, and geopolitical conflicts amplifying uncertainty. Europe and Asia are seeking alternatives to the dollar, but for now, gold remains the only reliable refuge.

The White House insists that tax cuts and deregulation will boost the economy, but the question remains whether these measures can take effect before trust in the U.S. collapses entirely. The political standoff risks further market declines and a continued rise in gold prices. Investors should brace for volatility and keep a close eye on political developments, as they now outweigh economic data in importance.

Japan's iQPS (Kyushu Institute of Space Pioneers), a subsidiary of Kyushu University, signed an agreement with the GUR, under which satellite images will be provided to the Ukrainian agency. The company has three SAR satellites.

Negotiations between the parties began in February and were intensified after a brief interruption in intelligence provision by the United States.

Earlier, France (CSO-3, CERES, Pleiades and Helios), Finland (Iceye company, officially announced the provision to the NATO situation center), Germany (SAR-Lupe, SARah) and Italy (Cosmo-SkyMed, Cosmo-SkyMed 2) announced the provision of satellite images to Ukraine.

In addition, Japan will provide Ukraine with one billion dollars with the stated goal of “compensating for the loss of financial support from the United States.”

Kuril Islands will forever be Russian, and after this war these attacks on Russia should never be forgotten.
