The first infrastructure play I found and really liked after doing some research is ZAUTH, I'll share my thesis below. Do note that infrastructure is less shiny and not necessarily the meta RIGHT NOW, but I think it will be a HUGE part of the meta soon. Slower cook.


We're entering a world where AI agents are already becoming autonomous actors.

With the huge explosion of automation frameworks like Clawdbot, agents can now run 24/7, execute entire workflows and projects on their own, and make their own decisions without any human oversight.

However, a huge limiting factor where humans DO need to intervene is when it comes to transacting money.

For example - I was looking into setting up ClawdBot today for a specific project where I would need to purchase a lot of APIs and access to various things from providers for this project to work. A lot of these needs would come up kind of as the project develops. I could feed my ClawdBot exactly what to build overnight, but it would probably get stuck repeatedly needing a new API key for the next step or a node or something else.

x402 is emerging as the standard that allows agents to pay for services natively without human intervention or friction.

However, x402 comes with a massive problem: agents don't know who to trust.

An agent can discover a service and send payment via x402 completely autonomously, but it's not smart enough to know if the endpoint actually works, if it's operational at the time, if it's a scam, if it's compatible with it's needs, and so forth.

Every failed payment or scam obviously burns a lot of money, wastes compute, breaks automation loops and causes a need for human intervention, and so forth.

At scale, this becomes a HUGE issue. Imagine large-scale projects, not just personal side projects, where companies or institutions or AI enthusiasts are building something massive. The promise of autonomous systems is ruined because of this issue.

zAuth exists to solve these exact problems.

It runs its own agents that continuously test, monitor, and verify x402 endpoints. Before an agent sends payment, it checks zAuth to confirm the service is real, functional, and trustworthy.

This is an absolute no-brainer for anyone looking to use x402 payments.
Verification is cheaper than failure. Automation becomes reliable. Human babysitting isn't required anymore.

zAuth can become the certificate authority for autonomous agents. The infrastructure that allows agent-to-agent commerce to function safely and autonomously.

The more agents transact, the more zAuth is used, the more fees are generated, the more valuable and smart the network becomes. This isn't optional infrastructure and fixes an insanely massive issue with the current solutions for x402 payments.

There's a few really sick infra plays out there for x402 or agent transactions already, but I haven't seen any comprehensive ones that solve the exact problem that zAuth solves, which is the biggest

I am a big fan of a few other infra projects, but what's sick about zAuth is that it actually directly benefits from other x402 infra projects doing well!

Since those other infra projects don't handle endpoint verification, they NEED something like zAuth to reach full potential, and incorporating it into their own infra is difficult since it requires a huge number of agents to be constantly running and checking endpoints in the backend

Some other infra projects I've seen mentioned are dreams, dexter, and some others; I'm not in any of them, I do like them (dreams I've DD'd and is sick, dexter I haven't dd'd but its kinda mooning rn). These facilitate the actual x402 payments, but they still DO NOT verify endpoints and provide solutions to the issues I listed in my original thesis when these payments are handled.

More infra facilitating payments = more payments happen = more need for zAuth to ensure these payments are going to real endpoints that aren't scams and that are compatible with the workflow of the agent transacting

It's completely unique and from what I've seen a monopoly that solves a problem that literally every single person using autonomous x402 payments will need if they want to be efficient with both their time and money
