Zilliqa Announces NextID as Official Digital Certification Provider; NextCert™ to feature in Education & Marketing Campaigns

➼ We're pleased to share that Singapore-based NextID will be our blockchain-verifiable certification provider. Their product NextCert™ will be used across our marketing campaigns & #ZILHive education initiatives.

➼ NextCert™ helps issuers to routinely publish attestations in the form of digital certificates. When produced at scale, it comes at a reduced gas rate, making it a cost-effective option.

By adding proof of identity, ownership and authorship to digital certs, users and organisations will get third-party assurance of credentials quality. This is critical today with people increasingly embracing online learning and training activities.

Seed Node Staking: Progress Report

✤ We’re thrilled to share our non-custodial seed node staking proposal aka ZIP-11: https://github.com/Zilliqa/ZIP/blob/master/zips/zip-11.md.

✤ Key features of ZIP-11:
1. Uncapped staking with APR of 5-7% even with very high staking participation.
2. Non-custodial staking via Zillet, Ledger, Moonlet, etc.
3. Governance token farming, i.e., $gZIL issued alongside staking rewards. $gZIL to be issued for 1 year with a max supply of 682,550. $gZILs will be later used for decentralised governance via DAO.

✤ The implementation is complete and internal testing of contracts is in the final stages.

✤ Shoutout to our wonderful team Xiaohuo, Jun Hao Tan, Han Wen Chua, Antonio Nunez, Mervin Ho, Te Ye Yeo for making this happen!
