Michael comes to Zilliqa with 20+ years’ global experience in entrepreneurship, corporate/start-up advisory and leadership, financial services, blockchain, crypto trading and investments, and brings a deep-domain knowledge of the blockchain industry to his role. He will work closely with Zilliqa’s executive team to help diversify the company’s revenue streams and strategically grow business. First of five educational videos launched today, featuring a quiz challenge where participants can win $ZIL!
If we go by Zilliqa’s mantra of ‘tomorrow starts today’ - Web 3.0 and Industry 4.0 are already here, and we all need to be better prepared!
It’s impossible not to imagine a future steeped in digitisation. Blockchain will play a crucial role in tying the digital threads of the world together. With the ‘future of work’ being reshaped right now, we must invest in alternative channels of education so developers - the architects laying the building blocks of the new world - can upskill themselves. Zilliqa has always believed that by offering devs the right mentorship, resources and a ‘hands-on experience’ makes a huge difference.
Zilliqa has joined hands with Ivan on Tech to produce an educational video series targeted to developers. These videos will take you through various elements of the Zilliqa protocol, using Scilla to write and deploy code on the smart contract, and dApp creation.

Ivan’s explanations and demo of various aspects of our technical infrastructure will give you all valuable insights, and serves as a fantastic introduction into the Zilliqa world. The video will also feature a short quiz. Viewers are encouraged to work on the quiz and submit their responses within a week from today- i.e 7th April 2020.
We will select three random people who have scored at least 25 out of 35 points and reward them with 15,000 ZIL each.
So, while you’re working from home this week, pass this challenge on to fellow crypto enthusiasts, your blockchain networks and friends - and take a shot at the quiz yourself. Zilliqa looks forward to your feedback on the video, and your ‘homework’ 🙂

🔎 In this AMA, Amrit, Aparna Narayanan, Colin JG Miles and Milan Shoukri from Zilliqa joined the GAINS community to tell us about their project.
The core value proposition of Zilliqa is scalability achieved thanks to sharding, a “divide and conquer” technique, thus balancing the golden trilemma of security, decentralization and scalability, giving Zilliqa its competitive edge in the industry. Aditionally, they created a programming language called Scilla which is secure by-design and formally verifiable.
Moreover, Zilliqa uses a modified PoW consensus, less costly for miners and more eco-friendly.
With XSGD, the stable coin on their blockchain, they target the remittance market of the APAC region, projected to be worth $270 billion in 2026.
Finally, they underlined the vast ecosystem built around Zilliqa and the vibrant and democratic community they foster. Indeed, 60 projects from 20 countries are part of the Zilliqa ecosystem. They are building wallets, DApps, explorers, developers toolkits, smart contract testing frameworks and more.
